Ōno and Tamil

edit

Hello. You made an edit to Susumu Ōno. I am quite familiar with and read most all of Ōno research. There has indeed been much criticism of the Tamil hypothesis. That has continued well into this century as well. Would you please add citations for the assertion that "now it is being viewed as fairly credible". Perhaps a better place for the discussion would be Classification_of_the_Japanese_language#Tamil_hypothesis. Regards. Bendono 14:26, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your indication. Actually, I don't have thorough knowledge about this dispute. Saiichi Maruya (丸谷才一), novelist, says "これ(大野説)は大丈夫だと確信するやうになつた" or something in some books, but he is not a linguist so this cannot be taken up as evidence.

Could you delete or rewrite ", but now it is being viewed as fairly credible" ? I apologize for bothering you. (I'm Japanese and I'm afraid my English may be erroneous...) CutieNakky 15:19, 4 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: ℃-ute

edit

Hi and welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for explaining the alphabetical order thing to me, it's pretty cool. I never noticed that before. I got rid of the "Original research" thing on the °C-ute page.

Hi CutieNakky, can you explain your content removal here? Thank you very much.--Endroit 21:37, 18 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yeah. I phoned Palau Visitors Authority's Japanese office (03-3354-5353) and confirmed it. CutieNakky 08:04, 19 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of Tokaikko Junjō

edit

Hi CutieNakky, Another user has proposed deletion of the article, Tokaikko Junjō, which you created. I've listed it at Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Japan to call it to the attention of the community of editors of Japan-related articles. Fg2 01:42, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
