Welcome!
editHi and welcome! It appears some of your recently created biographical articles are on persons of unclear notability, and I want to make sure you were familiar with Wikipedia's notability standards. Heavy use of primary and other affiliated sources (e.g. the books someone published) may not be sufficient to demonstrate notability; rather, independent, secondary coverage is usually needed to keep articles from being unduly promotional. These guidelines are in place to keep content focused on subjects that have already received significant notice in the world at large. Clearly demonstrating how your subjects satisfy one or more basic requirements will lessen future debates about notability, and may have the added bonus of making the articles more appealing to a broader section of readers.
- Notability (information for any subject)
- Notability (people)
- Notability (academics)- particular notability guidelines for researchers and scholars.
Importantly, all articles must additionally abide by these content policies:
- Neutral point of view
- Verifiability
- No original research
- Biographies of living people- A policy governing material about living people on any page.
