Writing about professors
editI see you have an assignment to write an article about a woman professor. However the training materials you used assume you withh be writing about a topic in your course, in this case a science course. So it didn't tell you about Wikipedia's requirements for articles about people. Subjects of biographical articles on Wikipedia are required to be notable; that is significant, interesting, or unusual enough to be worthy of notice, as shown by being the subject of significant coverage in independent reliable secondary sources. Being a professor doing research isn't enough. That is just their job. What is needed for an article about a professor is described at Wikipedia:Notability (academics). Amy-Townsend Small is an up and coming researcher as shown by this link, but it is too soon for her to have an article. You will need to find a more senior professor to write about.
Don't get upset at Wikipedia procedures or take notices off pages. We get dozens of new articles about people every day and most are rejected. The rejection is not your fault. You were not given enough information. We suggest that students use WP:Article Wizard to create articles in Draft space rather than writing them directly in main space.
