- Well, that's over, so now you know what an AfD is like, and it wasn't a bad one. You've succeeded in adding an interesting article to Wikipedia, and you know, if you didn't already, that you have to be careful to add plenty of robust sources to protect your articles. I hope you have a long and happy Wiki-career. Chiswick Chap (talk) 07:48, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
What to do ...
editHi, it can be quite alarming when an article you've written is taken to "Articles for deletion". Be assured it's happened to everyone at some point. I think (for what it's worth) that this article is perfectly defensible, and an excellent idea. I have gone along to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of mathematical artists and have written an entry starting "*Keep" together with the reasons why I think it worth keeping. You are free to do the same, stating of course your own reasons. The best reasons, the ones that will carry weight, are that there are good solid reliable sources such as museums, textbooks, art critics writing in newspapers, and serious art journals which clearly believe that mathematical artists exist. Good luck; if I can help, please drop me a note on my talk page. Chiswick Chap (talk) 14:13, 7 June 2015 (UTC)
Hello again, I see you've added Ethnomathematics#Mathematics_in_folk_art to the template: but the section is entirely uncited (and not terribly well-written, either). Perhaps it would be best to remove the link; or else to improve and cite the section a little. Chiswick Chap (talk) 20:20, 28 June 2015 (UTC)
Hi, I put the links back to the same italics as the other works, it seems simpler, more usual for titles, and less startling to the reader. Hope that's ok with you. Happy to discuss if need be. Chiswick Chap (talk) 16:08, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
