Hi, I saw your message at Talk:Mobygames, that you intend to delete mobygames links. Please do not do so without a strong Consensus, as many other editors add and value those links. Discontinuation date

Hardware was supported in other countries, as noted in the article already. Please discuss this further in the Mega Drive discussion area, with the main editors of the Mega Drive article, and see if their consensus changes based on the source you have provided, before changing it again. Logo caption

See, if only you had just posted that picture first in talk like we asked...that helped us understand you so much...BTW your Korean image was bias though, since both the Model 1 and Model 2 Korean boxes still have the standard asian logo on it. I had also already posted a source for the fact that it's the asian logo, and not only the JP logo. You also need to learn how wikipedia works before assuming someone is fighting with you when they aren't. Assume good faith, I do. I wasn't spamming you, I'm sorry you feel that way. This is just the only place to send you a direct message. I have posted images of the Korean Mega Drive model 2 box in the MD talk page. That article you have linked me to has no Korean Mega Drive box. I even have the first model Korean Mega Drive box, and it too has the asian logo. I'm sorry you have been misunderstanding me so much. I do not simply revert every single edit you do, I always put in comments as to why I revert, and you do not seem to read them. Rolo to the Rescue

You edited the article Rolo to the Rescue on 1 March 2010 to add it into the James Pond series. Is this really a James Pond game? JIP | Talk 07:31, 24 September 2010 (UTC)

It features James Pond himself, James Pond levels (quite literally), and was made by the same team. It is not really a James Pond game in the sense that you control James Pond as the main character like in James Pond 1-3. It is comparable to Aquatic Games though. Further discussion on Talk:Mega Drive#Removal of the JP/PAL logo

Hi there. This is a friendly note that I have left a new comment on Talk:Mega Drive regarding the inclusion of separate logos for the JP and EU "Mega Drive" and US "Genesis" models. In short, my position is that the JP Mega Drive and US Genesis logos are important to the understanding of the article's subject (since the Genesis has its own significant notability and is itself discussed at length in the article, even though its logo is not). I'm a few months late to the discussion since I took an extended hiatus from Wikipedia to focus on personal matters, but it looks like consensus was never fully reached on the matter.

Thanks for your invitation, nameless one. ;-) I went ahead and replaced the "Asian" logo with the official Mega Drive logo from http://sega.jp/archive/segahard/md/ as I think the official logo is what should be used instead of other variants. - If you want to add the American, Chinese, Korean, European, and South-American logos, I'd propose to add them in the text itself instead of the article's header. DCE, the JP logo is on Wikimedia commons now, so there is only one copyrighted logo in the article. The admins at Wikimedia will determine (and one has already) if the JP/Asian logo is text logo or not.--SexyKick 04:09, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

This is just a friendly reminder of the 3-Revert Rule. I noticed you and SexyKick appear to be reverting each other's edits on the Mega Drive article related to the included images. Consensus has clearly not been reached on the matter, but getting into an edit war isn't going to help matters. Allow me to defend myself in that I merely reverted SexyKick's revert. It was not my intention of reverting anyone's contribution, just to restore my edit.

Consensus had been reached on the screenshots issue months ago when the article was tagged for its use of copyrighted material and too many images in general. SexyKick just keeps removing the article's tags in hope no one notices it, even reverting any changes to the article by other editors trying to comply with these tags. This is going on for months now (as you can see by the length of the discussions in the article's talk page and many many many edit wars of SexyKick with Alphaton, J Milburn and myself) and I doubt SexyKick has any plans on complying with anything in the future. He or she will just wait until we've got better things to do and will revert the article once again.

Mega Drive discontinuation date

I think it turns out that you're right about the discontinuation date reading these sources already present in the article. Reading Kent's book says nothing about discontinuation, only about focusing on releasing Saturn early, and how it was disastrous for the Genesis as a result.--SexyKick 10:36, 4 November 2010 (UTC)

List of Japanese Sega Mega Drive games

I've reverted your undoing of my redirect, with some establishing of fact. The information did prove useful, as it helped as an invaluable source for List of Sega Genesis games, which I'm working toward an FL. However, exact release dates are unnecessary for FL status and list quality, and in fact will hinder the list because of lack of consistency (i.e. not every release will have a date available) and previous video game FLs, identified as some of Wikipedia's highest-quality lists, do not require exact release dates. In addition, two other points: as this list essentially directly copied the Sega list and its formatting, it is essentially a copyright violation. However, on a positive note, the source is now a source on the main list and is still accessible. If you have any questions, I can be reached at my talk page.
