Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button (  or  ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Proposed deletion of List of The Amazing Race records

edit

The article List of The Amazing Race records has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

WP:NOTIINFO, a collection of trivia with references that has never been collected into this form before by any party

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. —Ryūlóng (琉竜) 18:24, 1 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

You might consider proposing a merger and being placed as a collapsible trivia section maybe? I'm sure information like that is desirable by someone, but it doesn't seem important enough to warrant its own page. I've seen other articles that do that. May also want to consider making a table for it rather than separate listings.Ihadurca Il Imella (talk) 09:41, 7 December 2014 (UTC)Reply

Box Office Mojo vs. The Numbers

edit

I'm not entirely certain where you got the impression that Box Office Mojo was more reliable than The Numbers, but both have been used interchangeably for quite some time, and neither is more reliable than the other. Arguably, The Numbers could come out on top, as Box Office Mojo occasionally fails to update international grosses at all.

Additionally, Template:Infobox film lists them side by side in reliability, so I'm failing to see why, when we have two equally reliable sources, we should not update as the faster one does. Box Office Mojo's grosses always get updated to match The Numbers' exactly, so I think we need either need to have a multiple-editor discussion about why we should use one or the other, or decide to use both. Question

edit

Why did you revert my and another user's edits to 2018 in film? StudioCanal is distributing Paddingtion 2 internationally, therefore it should be included. Same with Back to Burgundy, except it's the opposite. Music Box should be included because it will distribute it domestically (i.e. the United States). You also reverted a edit that updated Insidious: The Last Key's box office numbers, even though Box Office Mojo proves it has been updated. You need to provide a explanation for your recent edits. --🎼Yexstorm2001🎼 (talk) 19:45, 7 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
