libImage
If people want to give me feedback on the article libImage which is on one of the projects I have been working on and will soon be releasing the product from, the I am open to suggestions, however I do not expect a row to occur. I do not want the situation arround PokéBattlers to occur round a professional piece of image loading (and on the release after next, saving) Software. DX-MON (talk) 20:41, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Welcome
Welcome!
Hello, DX-MON, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, your edit to an article does not conform to Wikipedia's Neutral Point of View policy (NPOV). Wikipedia articles should refer only to facts and interpretations that have been stated in print or on reputable websites or other forms of media.
There's a page about the NPOV policy that has tips on how to effectively write about disparate points of view without compromising the NPOV status of the article as a whole. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the New contributors' help page, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{helpme}}
on your user page, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Where to ask a question or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! MuZemike (talk) 22:43, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
- In Reply: Thank you, I hope I enjoy my stay. no, as around the problem of PokéBattlers, I do see what you mean, however (at the moment), there are no other sources bar the site itself, which is why I was careful to offer that one or two of the admins try the game out to see what they think, and then they can edit the article after they have seen the game, and they themselves can the also write reviews that the article can refference, I currently do not know what the consensus on this idea is, but it may be something that you can use on other articles too if it succeeds.

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article PokéBattlers, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:
- editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
- participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
- linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam); and,
- avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.
For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for businesses. For more details about what, exactly, constitutes a conflict of interest, please see our conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. MuZemike (talk) 22:44, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
- In reply: thank you for being polite towards me, and expressing your concern. I am close only to the person writing that article, I myself am neutral to the project, hence on the "discussions" surrounding it's potential deletion I was trying to suggest ways round the perceived problems that are of benefit to both sides of the argument. I have been exercising great caution when editing, and have only done what I feel I could to help save the article while improving it, and it's neutrality. I hope that between us (the people at PokéBattlers, and you the admins) we may come to an agreement over the content of the article that does not involve deletion of it. DX-MON (talk) 22:55, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
- Remember, just because the article may not pass for inclusion now, doesn't mean that it won't later. You can always choose to userfy the content, place it in your namespace, and continue to work on it and gather reliable sources until it is eventually independently notable enough for inclusion, at which point you may recreate the article. If you have any questions, let me know. Also, you're welcome for the civil and rational attitude so far. MuZemike (talk) 23:11, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, well can I ask then that the deletion status be put on hold as Kaboom is currently off-line, and I will not get to talk to him till 6:00pm GMT. I will suggest he moves it to his user-space so we can continue work on it there, at which point, if he accepts, we can see what to do with the article then, please? Perhaps you and a few ameanable admins might want to help us write the article with us so that the COI, NPOV and Crystal Ball dysfunctions can be solved? Once again, thank you for being rational and pleasant towards me, I do feel like Kaboom and I have been treated very roughly considering it is his first article. I userfied the article for you
The article you created at PokéBattlers is not suitable for a Wikipedia article, which must have a notable subject and be verifiable, but it may be a good start for your own userpage. I have moved it to User:DX-MON/Archive 2, which is where you are encouraged to write about yourself. You are free to move it back into the (Main) namespace but bear in mind that if you do so, it is likely to be nominated for deletion.
The purpose of a user page is to enable active editors of Wikipedia to introduce themselves to other editors. Wikipedia is not a general hosting service, so you should not consider your user page to be a personal homepage. Content unrelated to Wikipedia or its editing may be removed.
Please see the user page guidelines, especially this section for more information.
Note — You can access/edit/improve the content at User:DX-MON/PokéBattlers, where I have copied all the content to. Now you can still work on the content even if the article gets deleted from the mainspace (where the articles are located). MuZemike (talk) 00:42, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, thank you MuZemike, I still require the consent of Kaboom42 for this, but it does mean that Mooshykris can no longer moan and frustrate/annoy me over it. I will comment here again depending on what K decides. DX-MON (talk) 00:54, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
- You're welcome. I talked to Mooshykris, and hopefully he backs off a little. We have a guideline here called please do not bite the newcomers. MuZemike (talk) 01:02, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
Image for deletion
Hi! I thought I would let you know I have nominated File:Onfreq.png for deletion. You improved this image by making an svg version, the old version is no longer necessary. I did the same for the other images I created at Fourier transform. Thanks! Thenub314 (talk) 02:08, 21 February 2009 (UTC)
A vandalisation
{{helpme}} Reason: when I went and looked at my user page earlier today, I found some very nasty vandalising, and would like to know how I can get this page locked such that only people with a wikipedia user account can edit it as the vandal was not logged in when they did the damage.
- You can make a request for your page to be semi-protected here. Regards, Jeffrey Mall (talk • contribs) - 14:49, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
- Thank you Jeffery Mall. I have put such a request on the page. DX-MON (talk) 16:04, 12 December 2009 (UTC)
