No redirection from this page

edit

Hi, I've removed the redirection from the top of this page. Please see WP:User pages#Categories, templates that add categories, and redirects. "User talk pages should not redirect to anything other than the talk page of another account controlled by the same user." This is necessary for user talk pages to be able to be used for the purpose for which they exist. —Largo Plazo (talk) 18:21, 5 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

  Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but your recent edit removed maintenance templates from Dabbu Ghosal. When removing maintenance templates, please be sure to either resolve the problem that the template refers to, or give a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, as your removal of this template has been reverted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia, and if you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. —Largo Plazo (talk) 18:22, 5 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

  Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Dabbu Ghosal. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. —teb728 t c 18:21, 6 May 2015 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Besh Korechi Prem Korechi.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Besh Korechi Prem Korechi.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:13, 10 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

  Hello, I'm Ravensfire. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Dabbu, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Especially on an article about a living person, you MUST use reliable sources for information. If you don't, it will be removed. Please, please read our articles on reliable sources and verification. Also please note that it's extremely likely that you are the subject of the article. Please read the conflict of interest page. Ravensfire (talk) 03:23, 15 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Page ownership

edit

I noticed this edit you made and want to make sure you're aware of WP:OWN. Pages on Wikipedia are not "owned" by anyone and will not ever allow only the article subject (you) to be the only editor of the article. That's what Facebook is for. All articles on Wikipedia are edited by consensus with the information supported by references to reliable sources. Please, take some time to read the pages I've linked here. Managing a conflict of interest

edit

  Hello, Dabbu Ghosal. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Dabbu, you may have a conflict of interest. People with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, see the conflict of interest guideline and frequently asked questions for organizations. In particular, please:

  • avoid editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, its competitors, or projects and products you or they are involved with;
  • instead, propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • exercise great caution so that you do not violate Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require disclosure of your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, sourcing, and autobiographies. Thank you. Ravensfire (talk) 17:24, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Comments and requests

edit

Wikipedia is a widely-used reference work and managing conflict of interest is essential for ensuring the integrity of Wikipedia and retaining the public's trust in it. As in academia, COI is managed here in two steps - disclosure and a form of peer review. Please note that there is no bar to being part of the Wikipedia community if you have a conflict of interest; there are just some things we ask you to do (and if you are paid, some things you need to do).

Disclosure is the most important, and first, step. While I am not asking you to disclose your identity (anonymity is strictly protecting by out WP:OUTING policy) would you please disclose if you have some connection with Dabbu? You can answer how ever you wish (giving personally identifying information or not), but if there is a connection with Dabbu, please disclose it. After you respond (and you can just reply below), perhaps we can talk a bit about editing Wikipedia, to give you some more orientation to how this place works. You can reply here - I am watching this page. Ravensfire (talk) 17:24, 3 November 2015 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Black Cover.jpeg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Black Cover.jpeg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Stefan2 (talk) 00:19, 22 February 2016 (UTC)Reply
