{{helpme}} can i add, a hoax/fake article for personal and friendly use? or do you reccomend anywhere else i can use to do so?Daisexo (talk) 18:28, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} thank you. I have refrained for doing so. And i have written a True article on a rare chinese tribe. AND AND AND Why do i have a dashed box around certain parts of text? Can I get rid of this?

You got a dashed box because you improperly indented... to properly indent please use : followed by your text. Thanks,  IShadowed  ✰  19:34, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

{{helpme}} sorry, i dont understand.

S haha.

please explain

There is a dashed box around lines that have a space in front of the first word. If you remove the spaces before the first word, the box will disappear and that text will appear like the rest of the content. Please let me know if there are any more questions. Thanks! --Mysdaao talk 19:41, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
(edit conflict - that means I was typing at the same time as Mysdao) *When you look at the text you have typed on the edit screen, you should not have any spaces at the beginning of the line. That's what produces the dashed box. Instead, if you want to indent, put a colon character : at the beginning of the line, which will "indent" that whole paragraph, like this one. The WP:Cheatsheet will tell you more about editing pages, and WP:How to edit a page goes into more detail. JohnCD (talk) 19:47, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

Only one account, please

edit

If you are the same person as Daiseexo (talk · contribs), please note that it is not a good idea to have two accounts - you might be suspected of WP:Sockpuppetry, which could get one or both accounts blocked. Choose one account and stick to it. Look at the Five Pillars, the Welcome page, WP:Wikipedia is an encyclopedia and the guide to writing Your First Article to learn more about Wikipedia. {{helpme}}

thank you so much. Why does it say my article is hoax?

The real problem with it is that you say only you know about this tribe. That means that what you say cannot be verified - nobody can check whether what you say is right, or whether you have just made it up. It's not a case of whether we believe you or not, and it doesn't help for you to say it's all true: one of Wikipedia's most important principles is Verifiability:

"The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth—that is, whether readers are able to check that material added to Wikipedia has already been published by a reliable source, not whether we think it is true... If no reliable, third-party sources can be found for an article topic, Wikipedia should not have an article on it."

So the article has to be deleted because it cannot be verified. Another important principle is No Original Research - this isn't a place to publish anything for the first time. Sorry, JohnCD (talk) 20:06, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply

{{help}} It is my account, but is didnt like the name, as for i spelt my name wrong. I could find anywhere to delete it. Could you suspend it yourself?; Daiseexo

No, there's no way to actually delete accounts - I can block it if you like, to make sure you don't use it accidentally. JohnCD (talk) 20:06, 7 December 2009 (UTC)Reply
