Re: request for interview
editHey there. I generally don't do phone interviews, but you are more than welcome to e-mail me any questions you have. The research definitely sounds interesting, and I should be able to help out. Wizardman Operation Big Bear 02:26, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
Interview
editVery interesting, I'd be happy to help. Like Wizardman above, I'd prefer to not do a phone interview; email would be the best option, if that's OK. You can email me through the "E-mail this user" tab on the left side of my talk page, if you didn't know that already. Delaywaves talk 21:56, 13 December 2011 (UTC)
- Sorry for taking so long to finish the interview; I should be able to get it to you later tonight. Delaywaves • talk 23:32, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

editHello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the OpenStreetMap page, your edit caused a cite error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, ReferenceBot (talk) 00:27, 15 March 2015 (UTC)

If you are the copyright holder, please read Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for more information on uploading your material to Wikipedia. For legal reasons, Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted material, including text or images from print publications or from other websites, without an appropriate and verifiable license. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Warning for adding an image that you must have known was copyrighted to the article. The image was uploaded by you to Commons about two hours ago, with a claim that it was free to use, and then added by you to the article here only minutes later, but has since been deleted on Commons as a blatant copyright violation. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 18:41, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Hi Thomas.W. I don't think this warning is warranted as it was in no way a blatant violation. Please see Wikipedia:Media_copyright_questions#Youtube_CC_license. --NeilN talk to me 18:52, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- @NeilN: Where on the Youtube page does it say that the video is CC-BY, if it's there I can't find it. All videos on the website of the TV-channel ( http//:tensports.com ) are copyrighted, and I may be wrong but I was under the impression that just uploading a video to Youtube does not automatically make it CC-BY whatever, since it would mean that everyone who publishes videos on Youtube would give away their work for free. The only rule there that I know of is that everyone who uploads something on Youtube must own the copyright to the material they upload, or upload material that is already in the public domain. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 19:18, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Thomas.W The video is on their official channel. Click "Show more". --NeilN talk to me 19:25, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- @NeilN: This is their official channel, and there's nothing on that page that says "Show more" (at least not in the version that I get, Youtube GB...). Nor is there anything that says "Show more" on the page with the video in question. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 19:38, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Correction: there is a small "Show more" on the page with the video, but it's apparently an image and not text, since it's not searchable... - Tom | Thomas.W talk 19:40, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
- Thomas.W It's clickable, revealing:

- Thomas.W -- please see License header on http://imgur.com/a/f8J7J -- this clearly states that the Youtube video uploader has marked it as CC-BY. While not all videos on Youtube are CC-BY, some uploaders can choose to flag their videos as such, similar to Flickr. - Uploaders can chose between "YouTube Standard License" and "CC-BY" when uploading, for each individual upload, so one video being CC-BY doesn't mean that all videos are. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 20:36, 19 August 2016 (UTC)

- Yes, we can agree on that, so I've struck my warning. - Tom | Thomas.W talk 20:36, 19 August 2016 (UTC)
