Hello there, welcome to the 'pedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. If you need any questions answered about the project then check out Wikipedia:Help or add a question to the Village pump. BTW, there really isn't a need for < code > HTML tags - we try to limit the amount of HTML around here in order to keep things simple. Cheers! --maveric149
Welcome, and thanks for the info on those nasty kidnappers and torturers, the Shankill Butchers. Just see if you can write a neutral article on them, even though they are evil incarnate. If you need help, just ask on the talk page for the article, or say "Help!" in the Summary. :-) Ed Poor 16:53 Nov 26, 2002 (UTC)
Hi, re the change to Red Hand Commandos, I agree that theoretically it should be Red Hand Commando, but in practice they are generally referred to as Red Hand Commandos, and Wiki policy is to use the most commonly used and recognised term in this area. There are some highly technical areas where strict literal accuracy is the rule, but the RHC is one of those organisations were general usage takes precedence over technical nomenclature. Re: your latest addition to the Provisional Irish Republican Army, presumably the second bomb killed 12 more making a total of 18 and not 18 as you stated. Mintguy (T) 22:24, 13 May 2004 (UTC)
Wikimedia UK/Wikimania 2006
editHi, this is a circular to Wikipedians in Ireland to draw your attention to Wikimedia UK, where the establishment of a local Wikimedia chapter for the United Kingdom (and possibly for the Republic of Ireland) is being discussed. See the talk page, as well as the mailing list; a meetup will take place to discuss matters in London in September, for anyone who can get there. On another topic, plans are being drawn up for a UK bid for Wikimania 2006, which would be conveniently close to Ireland. On the other hand, Dublin's bid was one of the final three last year - might we bid again? --Kwekubo 03:51, 31 August 2005 (UTC)
AfD nomination of Waylander (band)
editI have nominated Waylander (band), an article you created, for deletion. I do not think that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Waylander (band). Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Libs (talk) 15:02, 27 August 2008 (UTC)
Amon Amarth and Viking metal
editEditors and IPs continue to go back and forth over whether or not Amon Amarth play Viking metal. Please join the discussion at Talk:Amon Amarth#Consensus on Viking Metal or not. Please keep discussion there, not here. Thank you! Wilhelm Meis (☎ Diskuss | ✍ Beiträge) 00:04, 21 June 2013 (UTC)
