Walt Disney Records Revamp
editHello, Dan arndt. Recently, a user posted an expert subject template on the article, Walt Disney Records. From observation I've noticed you are prolific in music, thus I would like to ask you to assist in the possible re-writing of this particular article. The article provides little information of the record label and instead provides trivial information. Please consider helping this article! Thanks ~ Jedi94 (talk) 17:35, 17 August 2011 (UTC)

Your barnstar at User talk:IgnorantArmies
editSomething's wrong with your barnstar at IgnorantArmies' talk page. Originally there was a missing bracket that muddled up subsequent (i.e., my) talk page posts, but... Yeah, it still looks a bit broken. Maybe you need to go copy the code over and subst it in again? ˜danjel[ talk | contribs ] 10:35, 27 September 2011 (UTC)
Reveley
editG'day Dan, I just threw together an article on Reveley, because I went to link him after plundering the DNB for an article on his mum. I was amazed that neither you or I, or anyone else, had got around to creating it! I guess there is still some important WA figures that needs articles. It was all a bit rushed, so would you mind giving it a once over, some ce, maybe expanding it a bit if you can think of anything. I guess a pic would be appropriate too. Cheers, cygnis insignis 16:08, 12 October 2011 (UTC)

The Falcons vs the Falcons?

- Furthermore, is Step Lively ( WEA K 99168, Columbia FC-37047, Columbia AL-37047, 1981) just a re-issue of Hats Off Step Lively (MUSH32165.2, 1980)?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:16, 10 November 2011 (UTC)

Jesus Christ Superstar
editI've deleted the ARIA award as being for the 1992 (John Farnham, Kate Ceberana, Jon Stevens) version as opposed to the 1972 (Trevor White, Jon English, Michelle Fawdon) version. Note: this album was recorded before Marcia Hines took on the Mary Magdalene role (replacing Fawdon).shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 12:31, 16 November 2011 (UTC)
- IMO, the 1992 version should have its own article – to avoid confusion. Both should be on the relevant disambiguation page. Each could wikilink to the other.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 02:51, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

editHi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Link to Congo disambiguation page
editWhen you edited the Paul Wheelahan article, you added a link to Congo, which is a disambiguation page rather than an article. If you know from the source material whether it's referring to the Republic of the Congo or the Democratic Republic of the Congo, could you please edit your link to point to the appropriate page? Most common usage referring to the country simply as "Congo" is about Republic of the Congo, not the DRC, but I didn't want to assume that in this case since you're probably more familiar with the topic. Thanks! LarryJeff (talk) 18:04, 28 November 2011 (UTC)
Kerosene Store/Kidogo Arthouse
editHi Dan, the work you've done on Wiki with WA rock musicians and heritage buildings sets a great precedent for the articles I wish to create and expand. In Fremantle there is Kidogo Arthouse, which occupies a convict-built limestone building near Bathers Beach. Should I create an article for the building itself (originally known as "Kerosene Store") and cover Kidogo Arthouse in a "Current uses" section, or name the article "Kidogo Arthouse" with a pre-Kidogo history section? Also is there a Wiki guide to articles on buildings? Thanks :) - HappyWaldo (talk) 05:05, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Plagiarism
editIn addition to the above, I found plagiarism issues at two other articles you edited, Phil Belbin and Stan Cross. Handling the issue
editDan, I want to thank you for working to take care of the plagiarism issues I raised. The articles I've checked so far look good to go now. Additionally, I'm sorry if you felt put upon with the AN post. They normally archive those after a few days if there are no responses. It wasn't my intention to jump on you, but plagiarism is a very serious issue at Wikipedia and I felt it best to get further eyes on the problem.
Again, thanks for making the effort to correct the issues. I ask that you review your earlier contributions to see if they contain similar problems, and as always let me know if I can help you in any way.--Cúchullain t/c 14:10, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Wikipedia policy allows us to link to legal streamed copies of albums. It would be useful to draw up a guideline on how and when to link to such albums; however, there is concern that it may not be appropriate as the music would not be available in all parts of the world. Is the benefit of having access to the music for most users outweighed by the fact that some users will follow a link to find the music is not playable in their region? Your view would be helpful at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Albums. SilkTork ✔Tea time 02:11, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

- Ref [128] Wilson, Sue appears to be a dead link now. Would the Highbeam url here be sufficient to support claim of Kelly at Edinburgh Fringe? editThanks for your note on my talkpage. I have no real problem with you reverting me, but I still fail to see how this song meets WP:NSONGS. You might also like to compare this song article with Precious (Meg song). The only thing I have changed I have re-assessed from your start down to stub. The article is not within spitting distance of being a start-class article. Cheers. --Richhoncho (talk) 11:03, 20 February 2012 (UTC)
- I take the points you have made on my talkpage, however, when I redirected the article, this was the article. As I said, in my edit, no claim of notability, no references, fails WP:GNG and WP:NSONGS. You have made a good job adding references and establishing notability. I don't think there should be any issues - I was right at the time, you were right to establish notability etc. Cheers. --Richhoncho (talk) 07:45, 21 February 2012 (UTC)
- There's more than enough articles tagged for notability that haven't been dealt with. If either notability had been claimed, or some references I would have tagged either unreferenced or notability, but as there was neither I took the course of action I did. I have been doing it this way for the past three years. There are presently 38,000+ articles tagged as stub under the songs project, mostly unloved and unnecessary. It was a pleasure to see this one improved so much! Cheers. --Richhoncho (talk) 09:13, 21 February 2012 (UTC)

- I'm still working "Dumb Things" for the moment – I'll get to "Sweet Guy" later. I've a niggling doubt about the release date. To me it appears to be the charting date: enters the ARIA Singles Charts Top 50 on week ending 19 Feb 89. Blanda says the double-single was released in 1988 – no month. Greasy Pop Records
editA dancheck requested at Greasy Pop Records: I know you're more into indie labels than I am. I cobbled it together and relied heavily on individual entries in McFarlane. Do you think any of the unlinked artists deserve their own wiki article? I can't find when it became a sub-label of Festival Records, when the label was sold by Thomas, or when it folded. Any help would be appreciated.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 07:59, 2 April 2012 (UTC)
Jimmy Little
editI'm having a go at this article but I have a query about spelling. Its the whole Francis vs Frances problem. First there's Little's mother Francis Peters, secondly his daughter is Frances Claire Peters-Little and thirdly the song he wrote about his daughter is "Francis Claire". Some sources have Francis and others have Frances. I went one way and then I went the other. What's your 2c worth?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 15:21, 4 April 2012 (UTC)
- I've gone with Frances Peters, Frances Claire and "Frances Claire".
While we're talking about the Littles' children, you wrote that the couple had "several children" can you provide details on any brothers or sisters for Frances Claire? I can't find any others mentioned.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 03:04, 5 April 2012 (UTC)
Discography
editThis is highly problematic. For the albums I can't tell which ones are studio, live or compilations. Also some EPs may be listed as albums and vice versa or both. I used McFarlane to add to the ones that I'd found there, then added others as I got to a source but can't clearly remember which source supplied which disc.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 03:25, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

Calenture
editI've done my time on Calenture and I'm seeing too many elliptical delusions... The biggest is: when was it recorded / released? Some sources e.g. Allmusic have it recorded in April - August 1987 but released in February 1987. While here has it released in November 1987 but still recorded in April–August 1987. McFarlane has album released in February 1988 with "Bury Me Deep in Love" out the previous December. If, as the article, states the album was released in February 1987 why no single until "Bury Me Deep in Love" appeared in October? Meanwhile their previous album, In the Pines, was released in August 1986 but recorded on 14 - 18 April 1986. However Calenture says it was recorded in April - August 1986: so did they go straight from the Jerdacuttup woolshed to London, Liverpool and Bath to record the next album then release In the Pines then finish off Calenture by February '87 and sit around for eight months before issuing its first single? Help.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 05:19, 4 May 2012 (UTC)
- More mirages...? Discogs photo of albums here has copyrighted in 1987 for CD. NME Album of the Year for 1987 has it at No. 41, see here.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 06:18, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

Jill's birthday?
editWhen was Jill Birt born? Enquiring minds would like to know. Does she have any sibs?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 01:50, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
- I've found that she has two older brothers but no names (see here) and her parents married in April 1953.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 09:17, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
Who did Jill Birt replace? Currently, The Triffids has "Gillard and Akers left in February 1982 and were replaced by Jill Yates on keyboards and a returning Sinclair.[1]" and later "As a four-piece—Casey, David & Robert McComb, and MacDonald... in Melbourne ... in October 1982". Although its not explicitly mentioned I get the idea that Yates stayed in Perth. Birt joins in March 1983 when they went to Sydney by that time Gillard is gone for a year. Your recent change at Birt disagrees with The Triffids: which is correct?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 09:32, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Robert McComb
editRobert McComb's long overdue article requires some local knowledge: I can't find his birth date; I've found an older brother, Peter; of course there's David (youngest?), but I can't find his other brother or a birth order. I've supplied some information on their parents which could be added to David's article. Is Robert still teaching? Any assistance at Robert's article would be appreciated.
By the way the McComb parents are both notable enough for their own articles: she has an AO; he's authored a number of books/articles; and they have a foundation named for them.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 22:34, 22 July 2012 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Jenny Morris.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Jenny Morris.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and edit it to add
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}
, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template. - On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.
Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. VernoWhitney (talk) 01:06, 25 January 2013 (UTC)

Non-free rationale for File:Rockit poster 05.jpg
editThanks for uploading or contributing to File:Rockit poster 05.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.
If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. MV
editThanks for the heads up, I got the idea that AD was a teacher but I was looking for reliable source.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 10:09, 9 May 2013 (UTC)
- Speaking of MV, the article now has them supporting a list of bands in two separate paragraphs. I moved the list to the final paragraph before Post MV subSectn, it acts as a summary of their overall career. If you want the list in the second paragraph then it should be deleted from later one and should be reffed.
- Parkhill's works also need refs.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 10:20, 9 May 2013 (UTC)

Joe Cool
editDid you try for a Billboard listing of ARIA noms at Google books? Some years various Aus writers post noms there. The ceremony was in March, that year. AMO has "ARIA nominated band Girl Monstar" but no specific mention of "Joe Cool", here. Can't think of where to look for 1991 indep charting.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 11:44, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- I see the band's article doesn't have a McFarlane ref, so see here. The single is mentioned but no significant information on it that I can see.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 12:00, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- Wayback Machine has a former fan website, here. Perhaps it can provide search points?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 12:25, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
- Sometimes simplest is best: tried Allmusic & it says "The singles, ‘Surfing On A Wave Of Love’/‘He’s Hell’ (1989) and ‘Joe Cool’ (1990) were independent chart-toppers in the band’s native Australia". I've added this to article.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 00:06, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
Aside: the article states "This was also the debut recording of Anne McCue who wrote..." Sounds like she had not been included on Girl Monstar's earlier single? If so, who was? Or are you trying to say this is the first track written by her which that band recorded? Needs clarifying. Oh, btw, its kept.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 03:30, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- But is it her debut recording? i.e. first time ever recorded?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:02, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- Yeah, that's what I thought. Its why the sentence in "Joe Cool" has to be fixed to make it clear.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:24, 14 June 2013 (UTC)

Australian Charts Portal
editUse the search function with the 'Forum' tab selected. If an entry is supplied by a staff member i.e. Staff AU usually tagged as bulion then it can be used as an on-line support for Kent Music Report, or ARIA50+.
For example: The Dugites' self-titled album peaked at No. 22, "In Your Car" at No. 34, and "South Pacific" at No. 90.<ref name="AusCharts80">{{cite web | url = http://australian-charts.com/forum.asp?todo=viewthread&search=dugites&id=27126&pages=#740219 | title = 1980 (ARIA Charts: Special Occasion Charts) | last1 = Ryan (bulion) | first1 = Gary | publisher = Australian Charts Portal. Hung Medien (Steffen Hung) | date = 21 March 2003 | accessdate = 10 July 2013 }}</ref>

- Not sure of the following and so I haven't put it in: His father, Giovanni Mariani (born 29 March 1927) was a farm and factory hand, he arrived in Fremantle on 4 September 1951 on the ship, Toscana. His mother, Giovanna Mariani arrived on 25 May 1957 on Neptunia, while his grandfather Domenico Mariani (24 August 1901 – 9 March 1971) had arrived in 1955.
- Sources: Giovanni, Domenico, Giovanna migration (NAA: you may have to search for the item yourself), Giovanni migration (likewise). More is needed to tie these in definitively with DM.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 01:35, 22 July 2013 (UTC)
- Its looking better with Giovanna, note :"Arrived in Fremantle & settled with husband, Giovanni & three children, Domenic, Lorenzo & Maria." Possibility that 'Lorenzo" is Italian for 'Laurie'?shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 01:47, 22 July 2013 (UTC)

Gene Pierson wiki page
editI have added a little information to the introduction. I have spent hours last night referencing sources to this information so please do not undo my changes again without giving me a chance to fix any issues if they exist. Prior to my additions, the introduction mentioned only Gene's musical career, which was eons ago ('60s and '70s). Since then he has been an early promoter behind some of Australia's best known bands. I can only find references this far for AC/DC so I have removed INXS, Air Supply and the rest until I have citations for them. He is now an entrepreneur in tourism, with two retreats for honeymooners. He is also still involved with music through his company Lifestyle Entertainment. I have read Wikipedia's five pillars, and understand the value of keeping things factual. As a writer and researcher, I'm a huge user of wikipedia, and want to keep the standards up. I feel the new introduction sums up Gene Pierson's bio a lot better than it did previously. The previous one sentence was inadequate. I hope you agree. Thank you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jodiebrownlee (talk • contribs) 14:26, 10 September 2013 (UTC)

editIs it a suitable chart? While it is a listing of popularly voted selections by listeners of a national radio station with a huge response (pro rata population size). But it ain't based on "sales or broadcast outlets from multiple sources".
However, appearance on the list supports the claim of high rotation on the national radio network and, hence notability of the artist or track.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 03:07, 29 October 2013 (UTC)

- I'm not sure if I ever even saw Adam Said Galore play live, but they must have been ingrained in my mind that they were who I think if everytime I heard Adam Treloar's name mentioned! Surprised they never won a WAMI, but knew that you or Shaidar could find refs. Now which one of you two is Mark Genge and which one is Gary Shannon? - On a related note, have you seen Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/The Frontier Touring Company this? Would have thought that they'd be notable enough, but we have to ensure that we don't just bomb the article with brief mentions, ie no more "the Joe Bloggs is touring in August thanks to the FTC" style refs. Fairfax news store is down at the moment, so I can't find stuff there. Pity that McFarlane's encyclopedia focuses only on bands, not the ancillary music industry. editThanks for uploading File:Last Train-Anu.jpg. You don't seem to have said where the image came from or who created it. We require this information to verify that the image is legally usable on Wikipedia, and because most image licenses require giving credit to the image's creator.

File permission problem with File:Last Train-Anu.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Last Train-Anu.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 13:52, 4 December 2013 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Sunnyboys.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:Sunnyboys.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:
- Go to the file description page and add the text
{{di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}}
below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing<your reason>
with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable. - On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.
Thank you. SuperMarioMan 15:51, 16 December 2013 (UTC)

editOn 19 January 2014, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Butterly House, which you created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that Butterly House in Toodyay, Western Australia, is at town lot 1? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Butterly House. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check) and it will be added to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. "INXS: Never Tear Us Apart"
editHi Dan!
Except for cricket and the footy, I don't watch much TV, but a few weeks ago I had the interesting experience of seeing an advert that mentioned mamils followed by another advert that used a slowed-down version of Don't Change, and then a news story about the Parkes Elvis Festival.
Back in the day, I thought INXS were "too commercial" and quite possibly "too Australian"... but I will be glued to the telly when that mini-series is finally on.

- Is the quote in relation to the title track of the debut EP or is it about "Talking to a Stranger"? In any case I'd be going for summarising Seymour and only direct quoting pivotal part(s) e.g.: According to Seymour, his fellow band member, Crosby, was heavily influenced by Brian Eno and used the Korg MS-20 on this track to provide a "deep, almost sub sonic synth drone". Seymour felt that the drone, which was used on several tracks during the band's career, "conveys a broad limitless horizon. Very Australian". Formal mediation has been requested
editThe Mediation Committee has received a request for formal mediation of the dispute relating to "Ayers Rock (band)". As an editor concerned in this dispute, you are invited to participate in the mediation. Mediation is a voluntary process which resolves a dispute over article content by facilitation, consensus-building, and compromise among the involved editors. After reviewing the request page, the formal mediation policy, and the guide to formal mediation, please indicate in the "party agreement" section whether you agree to participate. Because requests must be responded to by the Mediation Committee within seven days, please respond to the request by 12 May 2014.
Discussion relating to the mediation request is welcome at the case talk page. Thank you.

microbreweries
editI note that you have made a series of similar edits to a number of articles on microbreweries. I have to question why you have converted a specific infobox (breweries) to a more generic infobox (companies) and why you've changed a specific description microbrewery to a generic description of brewery. Is there some reason for these changes that I'm missing? Dan arndt (talk) 14:01, 5 May 2014 (UTC)
- Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2014_April_2#Category:Microbreweries - consensus to remove the microbreweries category as too subjective. Wikipedia:WikiProject_Beer/Guidelines are to use {{Infobox company}}. While removing the microbrewery cat I'm also converting the infobox, and doing minor tidying, such as removing "located in" as not concise per WP:TERSE, and being more precise and less subjective in describing the brewery as a brewery rather than "craft" / "micro" / "premier" brewery, etc, as those terms are not globally secure. Request for mediation accepted
editThe request for formal mediation of the dispute concerning Ayers Rock (band), in which you were listed as a party, has been accepted by the Mediation Committee. The case will be assigned to an active mediator within two weeks, and mediation proceedings should begin shortly thereafter. Proceedings will begin at the case information page, Wikipedia:Requests for mediation/Ayers Rock (band), so please add this to your watchlist. Formal mediation is governed by the Mediation Committee and its Policy. The Policy, and especially the first two sections of the "Mediation" section, should be read if you have never participated in formal mediation. For a short guide to accepted cases, see the "Accepted requests" section of the Guide to formal mediation. You may also want to familiarise yourself with the internal Procedures of the Committee.
As mediation proceedings begin, be aware that formal mediation can only be successful if every participant approaches discussion in a professional and civil way, and is completely prepared to compromise. Please contact the Committee if anything is unclear.

Thank you for adding lots of references to his page! I've removed the 'under construction' tag now, as it looks fine as a referenced start I think. Now if we could add a gallery of pictures of the buildings he designed (as I did for Will Rogers Memorial Park for example), that would be great. Terrace Hotel
editOK, thanks for letting me down...In that case, we really need a redirect, because it is impossible to find it otherwise. So I could move my userpage here to an article called Terrace Hotel, Perth, and then you could merge both pages perhaps? We really need to add a picture as well. And perhaps create a disambiguation page between Georgian Terrace Hotel and the hotel in Perth. But the problem with St George's House, Perth as it is, aside from the lack of a redirect for Terrace Hotel, is the dismal lack of inserted references.Zigzig20s (talk) 15:04, 19 May 2014 (UTC)

"Australian rock" article needs a lot of help
editThe "Australian rock" article needs a lot of help. It suffers form a severe lack of sourcing and the stylistics could be improved a good bit. There does not appear to be much high-level oversight on that site. Nonetheless, it is commendable in its scope and breadth--it has a lot of helpful information, and no doubt, has the potential to become a great article. "Follow the money"
editI'm up to ARIA Reports 733 & 734 which confirm its catalogue no. and release by Capitol Records/EMI under CAP/EMI 5773412. It has only Kim Salmon as producer. So my advice is "follow the money": this version has track listing "Chop" to "Penelope's Lullaby". I haven't yet looked into the UK version: I'm moving slower than you.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 09:09, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Note its charted at No. 67: this is not in Hoodoo Gurus discography yet as I'm looking to see if it got higher.09:11, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
- Chart run: 67, 92, out! See reports #735 & #736. I'm not looking further as I doubt that it would have re-entered.09:17, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
Support for your theory at AllMusic note UK release date is in November 2004. Gives Evangeline catalogue as #GEL-4082.09:25, 19 August 2014 (UTC)
"Shock the Monkey"
editGood question, I was guided by AllMusic and didn't do a track-by-track at APRA. ASCAP Ace provides two versions of that title: one by Furyll Purkiss and another by Brendon Moeller of Beat Pharmacy. BMI Repertoire search (here) gives four versions:1 by Fernie Apodaca/Gavin Jon Beiber for Conspiracy Three, 2 by Frank Luther, 3 by Robert Robb/Bruce Williams 4 by Jerome Baldassari/Dale Cockerell. None of these helps. Aside from the album, I think it was one of the B-sides of the US single.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:25, 21 August 2014 (UTC)

You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. edit You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Trinity College, Kandy. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Justlettersandnumbers (talk) 11:43, 3 December 2014 (UTC)
