Hello Danceguru1212. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Danceguru1212. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Danceguru1212|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. 331dot (talk) 12:11, 26 October 2023 (UTC)Reply

I am not being paid / compensated in any form, either directly or indirectly for creating / editing this article. Danceguru1212 (talk) 07:38, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
What is your association with Shreenanda Shankar, which you must have since you took an image of her and she posed for you? 331dot (talk) 09:41, 31 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
I have not taken her photograph. It is something that I had pulled from one of her social media posts a while back. I am a techie with good English communication skills (or so I'm told), and being a Dance enthusiast myself, I am well connected with the Dance and Music fraternity in West Bengal, India. I met with Sreenanda socially a while back, where she mentioned how she isn't on Wikipedia. So I told her that I will try to help as and when I get the time... which is what I'm doing. Danceguru1212 (talk) 14:22, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
You must immediately request deletion of the photograph from Commons and remove it from the draft. You cannot upload images taken from the internet unless 1) you are the copyright holder or 2) the image was clearly released with a copyright that is compatible with Wikipedia's, which you must demonstrate if that is the case.
Since you have communicated with the subject of your edits, you must declare a conflict of interest. 331dot (talk) 15:17, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
If you are in contact with her, the easiest way to place an image would be for you personally to take one, you would then be the copyright holder.
Images are not relevant to the draft approval process, which only considers the text and sources. Images can wait until the draft is accepted and placed in the encyclopedia. 331dot (talk) 15:20, 6 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
