I was wondering if you'd like to add a slide on "Wikipedia/DBPedia as a hub of linked data". Points: DBPedia DBpedia is a community effort to extract structured information from Wikipedia: Nice figure showing DBPedia right at the center: http://richard.cyganiak.de/2007/10/lod/lod-datasets_2011-09-19_1000px.png In 2011, the Web of Linked Data grew to a size of about 32 billion RDF triples (source: http://www.w3.org/wiki/SweoIG/TaskForces/CommunityProjects/LinkingOpenData) Structured data exists in Wikipedia infoboxes Infoboxes are like linkout for Wikipedia (everyone here will know what linkout means). Example, showing link to genereviews: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperkalemic_periodic_paralysis Could they be updated by bots, or in some other way curated by NCBI? Just a suggestion! That was certainly my first impression -- I started clicking the links in that list, and got lost and confused. I know it exists as a handy reference to you, but it is a huge amount of "cognitive noise" to visitors.
