The article Calculating coal consumption of coal-fired boiler from air flow has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a textbook or how-to guide; WP:NOTTEXTBOOK

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. I fully understand the principle: one does not want to turn Wikipedia into a recipe book. However, I feel that this is valuable information to have available for other people (as well as for myself). Is there not a way in which one can accommodate this article? Will it help to change the name of the article? One can place my article under Coal combustion but I see that it redirects to Coal combustion products. My article will not fit there. Alternatively one can create "Coal combustion calculations". It would be a pity if this article is not allowed onto Wikipedia. Daniellouw (talk) 14:38, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Wikibooks is a more appropriate place for this kind of article. It is a place for instructional study guides and textbooks. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 16:50, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
That sounds like an excellent solution! What do you recommend: can I place the article just like it is with the same title in Wikibooks? Daniellouw (talk) 18:42, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
Unfortunately I don't know much about how Wikibooks works. The organization style is very different from Wikipedia: instead of individual articles, it has books that are divided into pages. You can ask for help at their assistance page. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 18:52, 2 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I have moved the article to Wikiversity. Hopefully that is the correct place for it. Thanks for all the help. Daniellouw (talk) 08:36, 3 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
