Disambiguation link notification
Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Holonomic Robots
Hi Danim, I was wondering if I could contact you offline regarding an explanation of holonomic robots. I'd like to understand this concept more clearly myself and help improve the current article, perhaps with some colored diagrams. I don't think the current entry is very clear at explaining this concept, because after reading it I was trying to figure out if a differential robot (such as a wheelchair) is holonomic or not and I just didn't have the basics down. I've been puzzling with this concept for a little while with no understanding yet. My email is: jetta [dot] mann AT gmail JettaMann (talk) 18:44, 9 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. I'm afraid I will not be able to help you a lot in this matter. But you can always try to ask someone here: Wikipedia:WikiProject Robotics/Participants. Danim (talk) 03:16, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
Hello! I've noticed you've been tagging a lot of articles with {{WikiProject Databases}}. The discussion at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Databases#Restructure proposal might be of interest to you. Cheers, —Ruud 17:52, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Hello, Danim! I can't make heads or tails of these revisions, however it appears that the article is being changed completely without citing any references at all. I saw that you had previously edited the article, and I gathered from your revision you would more than likely be the best user to go to in regards to the article itself. If you have time to review the article, I would appreciate it. Thanks! Stubbleboy 09:45, 19 January 2012 (UTC)
Robotics
Hi
First of all, apologies for missing you out on my Christmas list - Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! (I had some issues with electricity supply on Christmas day and boxing ay and didn't get around to everyone I would have liked to due to limited time)
Nice work on the robotics article, looks much better now :¬) There are some remaining issues with a few sections lacking sources. Perhaps we should look at a way to address those? Chaosdruid (talk) 19:10, 9 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you so much, Chaosdruid, and best wishes for 2012 to you too! :-)
- The article needs more content and (probably) less headings.. Especially Components — some sub-sub-sections could be moved to separate article, or merged. For example, Locomotion to Robot locomotion, leaving only summary here.
- I'll try to add more references to it in the coming weeks.
- The same with Robot article.
- I'm also thinking about such articles as:
- Classification of robots (this one is important in my opinion)
- List of notable robots (similar to this) and/or Timeline of robots (or Timeline of robotics)
- Robot records (something like this - couldn't find better article with records in many different categories)
- to collect that most important robots/events. What do you think? Danim (talk) 03:09, 13 January 2012 (UTC)
- Sorry I missed replying to this :¬(
- There is an "official" List of timelines, List_of_timelines, on which we are listed under the General mechanical engineering section, which points to History_of_robots. Although not ideal, we can use that as the starting point, though there would be differences between the two, I really think we should just do one - Timeline of Robotics
- I am not sure, there is an issue - perhaps only imagined - as it seems some items would determine that Robotics does not cover all Robots, though I am sure we could have notes or sections for problematic issues, such as Golem (while it could be said to be a robot, it is not covered by a strict definiton of robotic).
- The big issue there would be fiction. We would be opening up a list wich could easily be overwhelmed by hundreds of fictional robots and associated items. Then there is the issue of futuristic events, such as Star Trek etc. We would need to define what was and wasn't going to be included before starting the article. I am certain we could sort it all out though. Chaosdruid (talk) 17:32, 21 January 2012 (UTC)
Robotics updates
Hi
Just to let you know we have some new members over the last months, as well as an editor who appears to be a professor involved in the field (User_talk:Prof_McCarthy).
I am going to look at the currently unassessed articles (13) as well as starting to look at a plan for getting the 600+ stubs checked for stub v. start and lay them out in order of importance for us to take a look at how we might begin to reassess them and expand those which are of higher importance. Bear in mind that they have not been looked at since I completed that 2000+ article "quick assessment" and may need some looking at regarding importance.
Anyway, thats it from me, anything new on your end? Chaosdruid (talk) 22:37, 20 January 2012 (UTC)
You still out there?
Hi
Anyway, seems you may be away for a bit ...
I noticed that you made some pages C class, don;t forget that the Robotics project doesn't use C class.
I suspect that you should consider whether or not they are Start or B class, We could do with some assessments doing and you are pretty well established in the Robotics project now.
If we can work out a little rationale and a very basic checklist form (Wikipedia:WikiProject_Robotics/Assessmentform) I think we can go ahead and start with the reassessments of Start and Stubs, and especially those that need attention. Chaosdruid (talk) 01:24, 23 March 2012 (UTC)

copyedited Robotix (competition)
I've gone through the Robotix (competition) article. Please let me know if there's anything that still needs a copyedit. The article still needs a ton of references and notability beyond just the summary of the events. AngusWOOF (talk) 03:46, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Hi, it looks a lot better now. I've clean-upped it a little. Yes it needs more references, especially from other sources than robotix.in (almost all of them point to that site).Danim (talk) 15:30, 10 November 2012 (UTC)
