- Hi, can you please let me know which sections were deleted. I tried to change the Höpfner blue sentences that I received notice about but it appears that I didn't change it enough. Danny2023 (talk) 20:16, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

- Hi. So my professor got this report and sent it to me yesterday morning. I went back in and changed the phrasing. The report you linked is from before I changed the phrasing. I changed it to "Making Höpfner blue pigment consisted of mixing a filtered solution of cobalt and aqua regina with tin. This solution was precipitated with potash, washed, dryed and then calcined in a crucible. Höpfner blue was mostly forgotten until the 1850s-60s when it was reintroduced as Cerulean blue." - That's the addition that I removed, since it's still almost identical to the source document, presenting the same content in the same order using almost identical wording. Overlapping content is shown in bold:

Source:
The original process involved mixing the filtered solution of one part cobalt and aqua regia with two or more parts of tin into the same solution, then precipitating it with potash, washing, drying and calcining it in a crucible. This pigment appears to have then been largely forgotten until the 1850s–60s, when it was seemingly reintroduced as described above.
Your version:
Making Höpfner blue pigment consisted of mixing a filtered solution of cobalt and aqua regina with tin oxide. This solution was precipitated with potash, washed, dried and then calcined in a crucible. Höpfner blue was mostly forgotten until the 1850s-60s when it was reintroduced as Cerulean blue.

- I see. Since I was trying to describe a scientific manufacturing process, I don't know how I would write it in a different way which I why I cited it. Should I have added the author's name in the sentence? For example, Ruth Siddal writes that . . . Danny2023 (talk) 13:50, 16 April 2023 (UTC)
