Your edit to Melborne cup
editYour statement in the above-linked article was inappropriate: please see Wikipedia:No personal attacks. You were probably interested in the Melbourne Cup, which is the correct spelling. Shalom (Hello • Peace) 23:20, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Please do not attack other editors, which you did here: User:MorganaFiolett. If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by excirial (talk • contribs)
User Page
editHi there. Two things; firstly, as has already been pointed out to you, any vandalism of other editors' pages or of encyclopedia articles will lay you open to being blocked from editing; secondly, you claim on your user page to have a large number of edits in wikipedia and to have been vandalised a large number of times. Unless you are referring to activity undfer a different username, these statements are untrue. While it is true that, within certain defined limits, (for example, claiming to be an admin is not acceptable), you can insert what you like on your own page, having a record of making untrue claims will seriously impede your progrss should you wish, in the future, to attain greater responsibility in wikipedia. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 12:07, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
- For the record, you show at present a total of twenty edits only. --Anthony.bradbury"talk" 12:13, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

This user wants you to join the Los Angeles area task force. |
First off, I apologize for the spam. You are receiving this message because you have indicated that you are in Southern California or interested in Southern California topics (either via category or WikiProject).
I would like to invite you to the Los Angeles edition of Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art, a photography scavenger hunt to be held at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) on Saturday, February 28, 2009, from 1:00 to 7:00 PM. All photos are intended for use in Wikipedia articles or on Wikimedia Commons. There will be a prize available for the person who gets the most photos on the list.
If you don't like art, why not come just to meet your fellow Wikipedians. Apparently, we haven't had a meetup in this area since June 2006!
If you are interested in attending, please add your name to Wikipedia:Wikipedia Loves Art#Los Angeles County Museum of Art. Please make a note if you are traveling to the area (train or plane) and need transportation, which can probably be arranged via carpool, but we need time to coordinate. Lodging is as of right now out of scope, but we could discuss that if enough people are interested.
Thank you and I hope to see you there! howcheng {chat} 23:42, 9 January 2009 (UTC)
You maybe interested in the Article Rescue Squadron
editI noticed that you are part of Category:Wikipedians against notability.
I would like to invite you to join the Article Rescue Squadron. Although Rescue Squadron members do not share any official position on notability, and are simply focused on rescuing articles for deletion, you may find our project matches your vision of Wikipedia.
Caveat: I am writing this as an individual, not as a representative of Article Rescue Squadron. Ikip (talk) 19:58, 7 February 2009 (UTC)

Invitation
editThere is a backstage pass coming up to be followed by an editathon in the State Library of New South Wales on 23 November. This is the first time that an Australian cultural institution has opened its doors to us in this way and will be a special opportunity because the Library is providing: one of its best rooms; its expert curators (along with their expertise and their white gloves); a newly launched website (containing new resources); and of course, items from its collection (including rare and usually unavailable material) which we can look at, learn from, and use, to improve WP articles. For example, on the chosen topic (Australia and WWI), the Library holds many diaries and manuscripts from the period.
As you can see from the Library's project page, they have connected this editathon with their own work. They have already set out a wide range of resources to make things easier for us. Please sign up on the editathon project page if you can participate either online or in person with other Wikipedians. Hope to see you there! Lankiveil (speak to me) 07:16, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
