Classification of Occitano-Romance
editPlease present your references at Occitano-Romance_languages#Classification. At present, the page just says "according to some linguists". If you are an expert on this, your input is very welcome. If possible cite a recent review article which presents an overview of the history of the question. For the purposes of Languages of Europe, you will note, I have decided to treat Occitano-Romance as a separate group outside of either Gallo-Romance and Ibero-Romance. As far as I am aware, it's just a dialect continuum. But if you have hard evidence and detail, I would be happy to see them added to the page on Occitano-Romance. --dab (đł) 20:19, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
I am no expert. Please, before reverting provide sources for the implication that Catalan is in a Spanish dialect continium on your map. As there are no sources at least change the colors.Dartsss (talk) 22:19, 18 November 2017 (UTC)
WP:EDITWAR at Languages of Europe
editEdit wars are bad, we all know that. While they persist, further development of an article impossible. Your edit of Languages of Europe did indeed introduce a prettier map, but accuracy is very important in this topic. WP:BRD suggests controversial edits may best be resolved and agreed through discussion, and I humbly invite you to join in that discussion, rather than add to your revert count of 2 thus far ;-) Batternut (talk) 11:32, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Languages of Europe. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.
Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:
- Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
- Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.
If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Jeppiz (talk) 17:11, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
