Boyd Barrett action

edit

You asked whether, when, and what action would be taken by Wikipedia administrators regarding the controversial edits made at Richard Boyd Barrett.

Just to let you know, I reported a user that has been rather disruptive there, at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Edit warring, last night.

The administrator dealing with the report made this comment and has protected the article for several days. (This is "full protection" which means that only administrators can edit the article, until the protection is removed or expires.)

It's great that you are participating on the article talk page to add more reliable sources that can be used to improve the article. Don't be too annoyed if not everything can be used, since Wikipedia has to make sure not to concentrate unduly on positive coverage of a public figure, just as much as it has to make sure not to concentrate unduly on negative coverage.

As a side note, it's great that you are looking at contributing to Wikipedia in areas other than political articles. I recommend avoiding creating an article about yourself (or editing it if one should appear), but you probably have a great deal of knowledge of, and interest in, certain types of literature. If Wikipedia's coverage of that area is already good, then enjoy reading it, and expand and improve it where possible - if it's not so good, then experiment with creating new articles and rewriting existing ones! --Demiurge1000 (talk) 22:32, 6 February 2011 (UTC)Reply
