Groupoid vs. magma

I think the argument that emphasising the hatnote on groupoid is necessary because magma (algebra) uses "magma" and "groupoid" interchangeably is valid. However, I've instead made a note of the fact in the first sentence of magma (algebra). What do you think? —Anonymous Dissident^Talk 05:31, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

• Should the table in the article magma (algebra) replace Category by Small category? A category is not an algebraic structure, because it's not a set - else we can easily run into paradoxes. Albmont (talk) 12:14, 29 December 2009 (UTC)

New Paltz alma mater

You've identified yourself as a professor at SUNY New Paltz, so I wonder if you know the copyright status of the alma mater? I know these songs are often in the public domain, but I didn't find a date with my cursory check, and I wonder about the entire lyrics being included in the college's article if it's not. • Sorry, no idea. If the College does have copyright on it, they sure don't seem to be protecting it. For instance, the link in reference 20 goes to the words on the College's site, and there's no copyright notice there. DavidHobby (talk) 04:47, 5 February 2010 (UTC)

Making History (Novel)

Hi. Noticed you have undone my change to your entry on Stephen Fry's novel Making History. I changed your original entry because there's nowhere in the novel that Stephen Fry says that Michael is gay so I felt that for the article to say would be inaccurate. In fact, Stephen Fry doesn't say anything about Michael's sexuality so even to say that Michael is bisexual wouldn't be accurate, so I thought it best to change the article so that his sexuality isn't referred to.
