Guilty Pleasures
You said a while back that you'd like to return to editing Star Trek Generations. I'd love to see it at FAC. It's not the best of films but darned if I don't watch it at least once a month. --Laser brain (talk) 11:54, 19 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Laser brain:: You might be crazy with that watching habit, but yeah, it's on my to-do list. I've got a book project that needs publishing and a continental trip to plan, but when I'm back later in the fall I'm hoping to devote more time to it. Hi, I saw that you created this portal but then nominated this for deletion at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/Portal:Halo. Looking at WP:HALO I think there are sufficient quality articles and a large enough scope (compared to many other portals) to justify recreation of a Halo portal. What do you think? sst✈discuss 16:48, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- @SSTflyer: Hey! There are certainly more articles and they're in better shape than they were in 2008, but I think in terms of audience and effort it's still not really worth having. By no means that doesn't mean you couldn't work on creating one yourself. Der Wohltemperierte Fuchs(talk) 17:03, 30 October 2015 (UTC)
- Thanks, so I guess there is no need to run this through WP:DRV if I want to recreate it. sst✈discuss 17:05, 30 October 2015 (UTC)

The Man Trap
I've worked up "The Man Trap" using the sources I have access to, as well as some at OpenLibrary and those online. I've compared it to MemoryAlpha and where I've been able to independently verify sources listed there, I've added them as well. I've been finding recently that a lot of the MemoryAlpha references have been non-existent or just plain wrong in some cases. For example with this, it lists the wrong year of publishing for an issue of Star Trek Magazine which refers to a reboot universe version of the salt vampire. But I think it is ready for a second pair of eyes on it - I've tried to head off some of the issues which we had at the FA for "Space Seed" - although as I write this, I realised I've missed the HD first air date. I'll go add that now! Miyagawa (talk) 22:53, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
- Just to note - I haven't touched the lead yet. I figured I'd do that as the final thing before a GA nom. Miyagawa (talk) 22:53, 19 December 2015 (UTC)
- "The Man Trap" achieved GA today, so it's well on it's way. In other news, I got distracted after looking at The Host (Star Trek: The Next Generation) as it was linked from "Rejoined", promptly got distracted and spent the entire day working it up to a GA standard!
