Thankyou so much for uploading the image of the SpotOn Lancashire United bus. However, can you please quickly fill in the details on it's Image Page so that it is kept on Wikipedia and not deleted. Cheers, Lradrama 14:21, 25 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free media (Image:Bus bbt.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Bus bbt.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 02:59, 28 September 2007 (UTC)Reply

Lancashire United article unreferenced material

edit

Hi

I see you've reverted the "unreferenced" tags I added to the article on Lancashire United, but have still failed to cite your sources for the vast majority of your work there. What's your problem with doing so?? Wikipedia is supposed to be an encyclopedia of verifiable information, not a bus enthusiats' website full of irrelevant detail like the fact that the B7Rs were Volvo Demonstrators - what does this have to do with LUL? Also if you can't even get the numbers "spot-on" (!) then they shouldn't be in the article. You must surely have access to an official fleet list - so cite it! (or remove the clearly unsourced info.)

Don't get me wrong, the article now looks much, much better than it did previously, but still very little of it is proven fact, and this is not what Wikipedia is about.

I'm sure that myself and others will work with you to get the article sorted, but you need to stop appearing to take umbridge when others criticise your work and add things like "unreferenced" tags.149.254.200.220 (talk) 07:36, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hello. :-) I hope you don't mind me butting in, but, although your contributions to the Lancashire United article are really, really brilliant and they are very much valued (I was the only main contributer to the article before you arrived and I'm very pleased with what you have done), I would however like to emphasise the importance of putting references into the article. This proves to readers that the article is a reliable source of information. What with all the facts and figures in the article, it needs backup. Do you know of any reliable / official websites that provide information on Lancashire United and its fleet? We've considered handbooks, but they rapidly become out of date. I've suggested to LUT that they put an enthusiasts section on their website, but they haven't done so. Can you please help us out? Many, many thanks, Lradrama 11:16, 21 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Keighley & District route 65

edit

Hi - I was just wondering why you've removed reference to route 65 in the Keighley and district article. It's not a frequent service but runs as pften as some of the other routes listed. Cheers --Deerfold (talk) 19:55, 25 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi Please note I have reverted your last two edits to my previous one. Note the edit summary, it was not done as a vandalism type edit, but after consultation and consensus, which included several WP:Administrators and a WP:Beurocrat See:- Talk:First Leeds. Bus company timetables are not required on Wikipedia See:- Wikipedia:NOT#Wikipedia_is_not_a_directory. Timetables are being removed from all bus company listings. PGR 4 Soundtrack

edit

Hello there. Soundtracks from videogames are generally not considered notable enough for inclusion. Exceptions arise when the soundtrack is released separately, such as the Music of the Final Fantasy series. Generally though, they shouldn't be included. Please don't revert again, gimme a shout if you've any questions! Thanks! Fin© 12:42, 10 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

King Travel / Pilkington's

edit

Hello there, I was wondering if you could shed any light on this situation. I never see any buses in Lancashire (when I'm back for the holidays) with the King Travel branding on, whereas the Pilkington's / Accrington's Buses name seems to have made a comeback. Is it worth renaming the article? Regards, Orphan Wiki 14:47, 28 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

It was 'King Travel' for a while when the Pilkingtons business resurfaced but has now re-established as 'Pilkingtons Buses' as its official trading name, even though I don't travel on there buses I'll be happy to do some work on the article.DG6985 19:08, 29 January 2011 (UTC)
The article already looks much better. Many thanks! Are you for or against renaming the article then? Regards, Orphan Wiki 00:43, 30 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

I think it should be renamed but not sure how to do this.DG6985 16:05, 30 January 2011 (UTC)

I'll do it. See what you think. Orphan Wiki 23:42, 3 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Autoaggression

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Autoaggression requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. jsfouche ☽☾Talk 17:07, 15 July 2011 (UTC)Reply

File permission problem with File:LU Optare Tempo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:LU Optare Tempo.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy.
