Welcome!

Hi, Davidlsharpe, and Welcome to Wikipedia!

Welcome to Wikipedia!   I hope you enjoy the encyclopedia and want to stay. Before getting too in-depth, you may want to read about the simplified ruleset. Of the many ways to get help on Wikipedia, I personally recommend our wiki-boot camp, where you can chat online with fellow Wikipedians willing to help!

Please feel free to ask me any questions you may have, on [[User talk:{{{2}}}|my talk page]] - I'm happy to help.

In reference to your recent addition of a link from Daylight saving time to Sharpe Business Solutions.

There must be dozens of companies now offering software solutions to daylight saving issues by now, particularly with reference to the upcoming rule change in North America. The daylight saving time Wikipedia entry is not really a good place to create links to them all. I suggest contacting the authors of Extended Daylight Saving Time Links, Advisories and Changes and 2007 Time Zone Changes Will Impact Many Computers in Canada, the United States and Bermuda, both of which are referred to by Daylight saving time, and both of which attempt to catalog the software in this area. They would be more-appropriate places for this link.

Vandalizing Userpages

All contributions are appreciated and strongly encouraged, but your recent edit to the userpage of another user may be considered vandalism. Please use the sandbox for any tests you may want to do, particularly to userpages. Take a look at our introduction page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. Thank you. -- Pastordavid 18:18, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Daylight saving time. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. -- Pastordavid 18:18, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Personal Attacks

edit

Edit summaries such as "Removed message from buffoon" [1] are considered personal attacks, and are not welcome on Wikipedia, even on talk pages. Also, it is generally frowned upon to remove warnings from talk pages ... and also pointless, as the warnings are preserved in your talk page's history. -- Pastordavid 05:48, 1 March 2007 (UTC)Reply
