Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Draft:PianobyG, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 13:09, 11 March 2024 (UTC)
Please be careful about what you say to people. Some remarks, such as your addition to User talk:Theroadislong can easily be misinterpreted, or viewed as harassment. Wikipedia is a supportive environment, where contributors should feel comfortable and safe while editing. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 21:58, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
- I think people should only edit and contribute to things they know about. I wouldn’t ask a dentist to preform heart surgery. Doesn’t mean dentists aren’t intelligent, it just means they don’t know that field of study:) Davidnorco86 (talk) 21:59, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
- Using that rationale you should not be editing Wikipedia because you clearly do not understand how it works. Theroadislong (talk) 22:01, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
- If I knew how, I would complain about “harassment” like you do. Have a good day :) Davidnorco86 (talk) 22:03, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Please stop your disruptive editing.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant noticeboards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at PianobyG, you may be blocked from editing. Don't remove the AFD notice Meters (talk) 22:35, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Marek Laczynski. You cannot restore a PROD. A prod is intended to be a low-overhead process for non-controversial deletions. A PROD can be removed by anyone, for any reason, and it cannot be reinstated. See WP:PROD Meters (talk) 22:42, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
- Meant to leave a generic disruptive editing warning, not a vandalism warning, but won't bother changing it since user already indef'ed. Meters (talk) 23:24, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Managing a conflict of interest
editHello, Davidnorco86. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on the page PianobyG, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for article subjects for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization, clients, or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{edit COI}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest § How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam § External link spamming);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Theroadislong (talk) 12:23, 14 March 2024 (UTC)
Paid editing
edit As previously advised, your edits give the impression you have a financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. You were asked to cease editing until you responded by either stating that you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits, or by complying with the mandatory requirements under the Wikimedia Terms of Use that you disclose your employer, client and affiliation. Again, you can post such a disclosure on your user page at User:Davidnorco86, and the template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Davidnorco86|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. Please respond before making any other edits to Wikipedia. Theroadislong (talk) 21:44, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
- I have zero financial stake in this. It’s just my first article and I want to be a guy who finds bubbling and deserving artists to write about. I’m very passionate about my work. I am not making any money on this at all. I’m not sure how to exactly clarify that on Wikipedia, but I’m making nothing from this other than expanding my horizons. Davidnorco86 (talk) 21:48, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
Please stop posting on my talk page.
editI've already asked you to drop the issue on my talk page. Since you ignore me, now I telling you not post on my talk page at all. Meters (talk) 23:02, 15 March 2024 (UTC)
