Shawn Michaels
editThis user HamishMacBeth is not helping me. He has been hounding on me for a while reverting every edit I do on the Shawn Michaels page. And I am way more experienced on Wikipedia than him. Wikipedia doens't just use british english, but pure American English. Thanks. --Mikedk9109 00:24, 7 October 2006 (UTC)
Glen Jacobs
editYour vandalism: removal of information (why Undertaker would not wrestle Kane, "Jacobs now resides in Nashville, Tennessee.", "Stereo chokeslams"). Removal of contractions ("He was defeated by Benoit." is a poor sentence). Overlinking of dates. Addition of copyrighted images to the page. McPhail 20:13, 9 October 2006 (UTC)
Conrad Goode
editThanks for your message, I will create Conrad Goode's page at weekend if I have enough time. Sorry for using another IP again. I'm in school and there we have some computers.

Triple H
editFirst of all, Triple H is called "The Game" Triple H. Lillian says "The Game" Triple H when he comes to the ring, and Jim Ross and The King hardly call him Triple H, but The Game. Also, if the McMahons are together, they are called "The McMahons". They are a tag team, and thats the reason they are referred to as a "The McMahons. In Big Shows name, the isn't needed in that sentence. It doesn't sound right. Thanks. --Mikedk9109 (sup) (stalk me) 23:17, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
It doensn't matter if it sounds awful or silly to you. It's not about opinions. It's about facts. This is what he is announced as when he comes to the ring. Rob Van Dam isn't claled Mr. Monday Night when he comes to the ring so you cannot use him as an example to support your view. On the other hand Triple H is called "The Game" whe he comes to the ring. Shawn Michaels is called "The Heartbreak Kid" when he comes to the ring, so why aren't you complaining about that too. Are you just trying to start an edit war? So you can either change it back, or I will get a user who agrees with me to change it, since I cannot revert anymore. Thanks. --Mikedk9109 (sup) (stalk me) 23:48, 24 October 2006 (UTC)
The FACT is when he come to the ring he is announced as "The Game" Triple H. Thats makes it part of his ring NAME. Just like Shawn Michaels being called "The Heartbreak Kid". Don't you see what I am getting at here? --Mikedk9109 (sup) (stalk me) 00:07, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Ok. So go change it on the Shawn Michaels page too. What if he changes his ring name. Will he still be Triple H then? --Mikedk9109 (sup) (stalk me) 00:25, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
Thanks
editI discovered the 'pre' function thing when I tried to post my own addition and it had the frame around it, but I very much appreciate you jumping to my aid. Good luck with everything. Tiamut 00:58, 25 October 2006 (UTC)
License tagging for Image:MatthewBellamy.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:MatthewBellamy.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.
For more information on using images, see the following pages:
This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 00:06, 26 October 2006 (UTC)
Jockey stats
editThe Racing Post website carries stats for jockeys in Great Britain and Ireland for both National Hunt and Flat racing. However, these stats only go back to 2000 - details from before then can be more difficult to find on the internet. The annual Raceform book "Horses in Training" usually lists the top fifty or so jockeys from the previous season, so it might be worth looking out for old copies (I have 1992 - 1997 covered, if it helps) -- Zafonic 20:02, 1 November 2006 (UTC)
Mariska Hargitay
editI didn't revert, I added the pronunciation back in because it is a very uncommon name. I wouldn't be talking as your just going through my contributions and editing the articles I edit. -- Mikedk9109 (talk) 19:51, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't make any bad edits. The pronunciation was already there. So if you want to talk to someone about adding the pronunciation to the article then go to the talk page of the user who keeps adding it in; Wahkeenah. -- Mikedk9109 (talk) 20:25, 11 November 2006 (UTC)
Orphaned fair use image (Image:Pacino1991.jpg)
editThanks for uploading Image:Pacino1991.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Oden 03:12, 19 November 2006 (UTC)
Ok.
editDo you seriously have a problem with me and my edits? I follow one of the models on WP:PW, CM Punk. And in his article it says "better known by his ring name", not the. Also, brand is linked. Maybe you should do some looking over what other people have done before you, before you carelessly revert it. Thanks. -- Mikedk9109 (talk) 01:33, 21 November 2006 (UTC)
- Maybe, you should look at model articles, before you go about changing everything to the way you want it. Your the only user who comes about and changes the way the article is written, except vandalizers. Why do you think those articles you have been changing have been like that for so long? Because people know it's the right way to have wrestling articles. -- Mikedk9109 (talk) 01:44, 21 November 2006 (UTC)

Let me see if I can explain this. It can easily be argued that The Office (USA) originated from the UK; there is little denying the fact that the show is based on the UK original. Now, they decided to make two separate articles and that is good. We decided to keep Whose Line a single article, since we thought there was no need to split the two. Now, the reason we keep both US and UK in the Whose Line heading is because the shows are in a similar situation to The Office. The US show is arguably a good deal different from the UK version. The US show has a different origin, different broadcast company, and different production company. About the only thing the shows had in common were a few of the shared performs (limited really to the US ones) and a few shared games. If you would like to discuss this further we can, but I would recommend bringing up to a discussion in the WLiiA talk page. -Thebdj 06:04, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
Tony McCoy / A. P. McCoy
editAs a past contributor to the article currently entitled A. P. McCoy, please could you register a vote at Talk:A. P. McCoy as to which title you prefer - "Tony McCoy" or "A. P. McCoy". The vote closes at 12pm GMT on January 1st 2007. Thanks -- Zafonic 20:17, 20 December 2006 (UTC)

editI noticed that in your last edit summary that you said the moonsault sounds so unlikely that it needed a citation. If you don't know already, the moonsault thing came from a rumor about his days in WCW's Power Plant. There is very little info about his days there (meaning no sources), but there is a rumor that while he was there he became so athletic that he was able to perform a moonsault. It was later altered to a huracanrana-type move. Of course, this was not one of his signature moves even if he was capable of pulling it off. Of course, the lack of sources prevents any of this from getting into the article. I just thought that I would fill you in on an interesting piece of trivia in case you hadn't heard it before. Cheers, -- THL 00:40, 3 January 2007 (UTC)
Excuse me, but did you read the edit summary for McCoy's page before you changed what you should not have changed?? For sorting purposes, Wikipedia requires that surnames that start with Mc, such as McCoy, for instance, be sorted in categories as Mac (Maccoy); names that start with O'Neill, for instance, are sorted as Oneill -- this was clearly explained on the discussion page which you ignored, citing the note from the Wikipedia staffer regarding sorting on Martin McGuinness' edit page. Please refer to the discussion page. Thanks. El chulito 14:32, 8 February 2007 (UTC)

Disagree politely or not at all
editWhile I understand your frustration with aspects of Burntsauce's approach to editing, it does not excuse you from the requirement to remain civil and to avoid making personal attacks. Calling him a Nazi – or even describing him or his views as 'Nazi-ish' falls well to the wrong side of that line; continuing on that tack will lead to a block.
If you have concerns about possible sockpuppetry (or other user conduct issues that require administrator intervention) post a request to the adminstrators' noticeboard or put together a Checkuser request. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 00:50, 29 June 2007 (UTC)
Unreferenced BLPs
editHello DavyJonesLocker! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 2 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 687 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Jamie Moore (jockey) - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Martin Dwyer - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
