Seán Kelly
editThanks for your message. Kelly was certainly an amazing rider – winning four of the five monuments and just falling short in De Ronde, in addition to his Vuelta win, 7 Paris-Nice's and helping Roche to the world title. It certainly would be great to have a really good article on such an amazing rider. If you take a look at Wikipedia:Featured article criteria, it explains what makes one of the top articles on Wikipedia. It is certainly not the job of Wikipedia to try to devalue books about the guy, indeed, I think a good article will promote the books as they will, of course be references and people reading the article may want to learn more and go away and read the books. I think we have the outline of a good article, although there may be areas missing which should be in there. The article certainly suffers from a lack of references, and when presenting anything contentious—such as drug use—we must be really careful to adhere to the Biographies of living people policy. The Walsh book may be a little hard to get hold of! Certainly looks a good book though. If you have any questions or anything don't hesitate to ask me. Regards, SeveroTC 13:01, 7 June 2007 (UTC)
- The extra information on Kelly's biography is great. One of the references was broke, I tried to fix it but if you could double check it would be great. Regards, SeveroTC 10:54, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
Nissan International Classic
editThanks for creating this article. I wanted to do this but didn't have any sources to base it on. I created Nissan Classic as a redirect to Nissan International Classic to make it easer to find the new article. -- Patleahy 17:52, 8 June 2007 (UTC)
- thanks Pat for recreating that redirect as I know the race moreso myself as the Nissan Classic, ive put up some sources there on it now,and id like to look into some bits further like event organisers etc. maybe even routes, --Dawesaudax 09:57, 9 June 2007 (UTC)
- Considering this event is returning this year, it's a really welcome addition. I also created a redirect from Tour of Ireland. I'm kind of thinking it should be moved to this name though, but I haven't given it much throught or research :) Regards, SeveroTC 10:54, 11 June 2007 (UTC)
- This is a good point and Ive written a paragraph discussing this with some of my own point of views (which arent written in stone!) on the talk page of the article, good stuff, --Dawesaudax 20:13, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

I apologize if you took offence to my comment on this article needing to be overhauled. Sometimes, people who create articles don't understand how to properly format an article, source an article, or put a neutral POV, all which make it very difficult for those of us who have to clean up these articles, and in turn, do more work than creating an article from scratch. If you look at my contributions, I've done a lot of this before. I recently had to take Bronchiectasis, which was entirely unsourced, and properly academically source it with footnotes. All when I am taking organic chemistry, mind you :). If you would like any help, please let me know. I would love to be of assistance for this article. Best of luck. - I thank you for using your knowledge to improve Wikipedia for everyone, especially such an important article. We need more wikipedians such as yourself on here, committed to improvement of articles that we know are incredibly important. Thank you again! WiiAlbanyGirl 01:13, 27 July 2007 (UTC)
Roche
editCiao! I remember well that episode as it was infamous in Italy (I was a child but I've in mind all the scandalized titles). I'll seek for the "fire" (I translated it from Italian wikipedia) event, which I consider obvious as Carrera continued on with Roberto Visentini. See you soon. --Attilios 13:38, 2 August 2007 (UTC)
Nice work on starting Carrera (cycling team), I've been meaning to do this for ages! SeveroTC 18:19, 8 September 2007 (UTC)

editUnreferenced BLPs
editHello Dawesaudax! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 4 of the articles that you created are tagged as Unreferenced Biographies of Living Persons. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to insure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring these articles up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 3 article backlog. Once the articles are adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the list:
- Willy Schroeders - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Henk Baars - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
- Albert Zweifel - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs) · FENS · JSTOR · TWL
