Hi!
editGlad to see you add your name to the Participants list on WP:NJSCR, although with the editing you've been doing, it was really just a formality. *wink* You're doing a great job; I don't mind making the minor tweaks that are sometimes necessary, as you're saving me a heck of a lot of work (and time that I don't have) that I would have spent writing the infoboxes myself.
Some tips:
- External links goes after References, and the L should not be capitalized.
- As I'm sure you've caught on to, the SLDs are a wonderful references, and should be cited for the length using the length_ref= parameter in the infobox.
- Make sure that any square shields (2-digit) are 20px, and any rectangular shields (3-digit) are 25px.
That's all for now, and welcome again! -- NORTH talk 21:56, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hey, thanks for the support. I'm still new to editing on Wikipedia, so please bear with me if I make any mistakes here or there. :) --Dbm11085 23:22, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

editFair use issue with shields
editI think its ludicrous, but an issue has been raised that the shields are copyright property of the respective agencies and can only be used on a fair use basis on articles about the NJTP, GSP, ACE, etc., not on any other articles. I know you're new and the last I'd want to do is create problems for a new user, so I was checking before biting. Welcome aboard, we've made major progress on NJ roads, but there's still plenty to do. Alansohn 02:33, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Thanks, I appreciate it. --Dbm11085 02:57, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
A reminder that Dover Township was renamed Toms River, New Jersey, as of the November 2006 elections. Any SLDs will still show Dover Township. Alansohn 04:20, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Your changes to Rhode Island Route 2
editPlease read WP:USSH. The text should display the "Route 112" form, and the links should not be changed even if the displayed text is kept the same. Thank you. --NE2 05:49, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- Now I know. *shrug* --Dbm11085 06:08, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
Major RI routes
editI don't have any specific criteria in mind but anything that is an expressway for sure is major. And maybe some of the longer principal arterial roads. I would say all U.S. Routes, Interstates, and RI Routes 2, 4, 10, 24, 78, 102, 114, 116, 138, 146. By the way, thanks for putting up infoboxes. I was planning to get around to RI but I'm still stuck in CT. --Polaron | Talk 01:06, 21 March 2007 (UTC)

I'm a bit confused about your edit there. You added tags to have the article wikified, but in the process blanked the page, this leaving nothing to be wikified in the first place. If you used a bot I think it's not functioning right... Lomedae talk15:41, 6 April 2007 (UTC)
- totally clear, my problem was that this wasn't apparent from the edit history :-) If you blank text,m please do mention this in the comment and/or the talk page for the other editors. I started a cleanup of the article as it is, seeing as you own an actual copy you could perhaps expand the tracklist to include the other bands. Lomedae talk 19:30, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

The New Jersey State and County Route Newsletter

After a three-month hiatus, the fourth issue of the WP:NJSCR newsletter is out, by me, Mitchazenia. The foruth issue of the WP:NJSCR newsletter celebrates the passing of New Jersey Route 18 for Good Article Status. 18 is only the third NJ-based road to reach that rank with Interstate 295 (Delaware-New Jersey) and Pulaski Skyway being the other 2. | |

USRD Inactivity check and news report
editHello, Dbm11085. We had a few urgent matters to communicate to you:
- Please update your information at Wikipedia:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Participants, our new centralized participant list. Those who have not done so by October 20th will be removed.
- There are important discussions taking place at WT:USRD relating to whether WP:USRD, WP:HWY, or the state projects should hold the "power" in the roads projects.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Alice Cooper Live at Montreux.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:Alice Cooper Live at Montreux.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:00, 27 October 2007 (UTC)
I believe there are some points requiring clarification.
First of all, this picture is not orphaned. It is still being used on other Wikipedias.
Secondly, it was released by User:SPUI on english Wikipedia into PD. If it is in PD, how is it not a "free" image? Since it is a free image, it does not matter whether it is orphaned or not, there is no need to delete a perfectly legal image.
Lastly, as a reminder, this image is located on the Commons, not english wikipedia. If there's any question about its copyright, the right place to discuss it is on the Commons.

Nebraska highways
editThanks for finishing off the rest of the ones I hadn't got to. I'll have to look it over and see if there are errors, but most of the ones I've seen look good. DandyDan2007 (talk) 11:30, 10 April 2008 (UTC)
Stub vs. start class
editI saw your conversation with NE2 regarding stub vs. start class articles, and I thought I might be able to clarify things. In the very near future, the "quality scale" on WP:USRD/A will be updated with slightly clearer guidelines. Those guidelines are currently sitting at a user subpage of mine: User:Kéiryn/USRD Assessment. The discussion that led to those guidelines (especially the start vs. stub distinction) can be found at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. Roads/Archive 13.
Hope that helps. -- Kéiryn talk 14:15, 11 April 2008 (UTC)
Jctlist templates
editIt's just for standardization mainly. Also, it allows colors to be displayed for 'special' junctions (concurrency termini usually). —Scott5114↗ [EXACT CHANGE ONLY] 02:29, 16 April 2008 (UTC)
Nevada State Route 562
editWhy did you add the junction list to Nevada State Route 562, as it is not correct in its current form. The route is discontinuous (with the middle section having been decommissioned) and therefore isn't mileposted as indicated in your table. Ljthefro (talk) 20:36, 19 April 2008 (UTC)
File:Njtp.JPG listed for deletion
editA file that you uploaded or altered, File:Njtp.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion.
