Hi. I've made Turnbull a disambig. Cheers! -- BD2412 talk July 7, 2005 01:40 (UTC)
I would ask that you reconsider your vote for deletion on Michael Lohman, as per your comment I have added to the VfD and to the article page a "fair number of cites from outside the Princeton, NJ" area. Sirmob 7 July 2005 04:47 (UTC)
I haven't vandalized any pages. I was already blocked for vandalising (which was really contributing) and then I stopped contributing. I don't know why you are warning me again.
Please visit the page and see the VfD blurb

You haven't been around long yet I see you've cast many intelligent votes on VfD and such. Kudos to you :) Redwolf24 9 July 2005 01:33 (UTC)
verses
editHiya,
you recently voted to transwiki at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Matthew 1:verses
however, that VfD concerned only the verses from Matthew 1, wheras Uncle G's proposal covered a much larger group of verses.
would you be prepared to consider Uncle G's proposal and make a similar vote at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Individual Bible verses, which covers the full list of verses in Uncle G's suggestion?

Hello, thanks for voting! You suggested that the article be kept but redirected. I am wondering, what would you actually care to keep: the article about the book or the list of worst movies in itself? If it is an article about the book, then I believe that a) a redirect to an article about another author's, ugh, compilation doesn't seem to make sense, b) it should not be a mere list of the "worst" movies. As such, the article is in need of lots of improvement and doesn't it qualify for deletion just for that. What do you think? - Introvert (talk) 20:30, 10 July 2005 (UTC)
- Basically, I am under the impression from that discussion that the guy wrote almost the same book twice, and that two separate articles aren't needed. Given that, we might as well stick with the article that is much better written, which is the other one. Dcarrano 21:24, July 10, 2005 (UTC)
Aiken debacle
editI hope I did not seem dismissive of your contribution today. We had, after long argument, and against my preference, compromised on the inclusion somewhere in that paragraph a contextualized link to one particular website, Openly Clay. It seemed we were on the verge of an agreement acceptable to all. No such luck. Again, we came nearly to argument late today, only to have the admin who locked the entry and then disappeared, re-enter to pose alterations which do not address the issues we have discussed, and we are again stalled. I realize that the discussion is long, contentious, tedious, and ultimately inconsequential, but it is much in need of a level-headed, neutral voice. Those claiming NPOV don't seem to be all that neutral to me. I'm quite new to Wikipedia, and learning as I go. I don't claim to be neutral, but am trying very hard to be so in proposed language for the entry. Frankly, I'm at my wits end, and must leave town in the morning for a 4 day trip. If you are so inclined, it would be most helpful if you were to read the entire discussion, archives and all, and then perhaps bring a new perspective to the discussion. Thanks. (ETA, sorry for not correctly identifying the topic of my comment for the history on this page. I forgot to change it when I hit save.) -Jmh123 01:24, 15 July 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks! I'll try, I'm not sure anyone will listen since they seem IMO to be more concerned with placating each others' concerns than with what the best article would look like, but I'll continue to contribute if I see a non-repetitive point that needs making. Dcarrano 01:30, July 15, 2005 (UTC)
- No kidding! I just made one final proposal--if this one doesn't go, I'm done. Thanks so much!!
List of Revolution games
editI wanted to ask that you comment on Wikipedia talk:Votes for deletion/List of Nintendo Revolution games, now that I've improved the list to disclude rumors. -- A Link to the Past 05:02, July 16, 2005 (UTC)
VfD on Missing Sun myth
editHi there, I see you voted "Delete" on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Missing Sun myth because it is a fork file. Since then other editors have voted to redirect the file to the original, and some editors are now trying to argue that a vote for "Delete" is a vote to have the redirect deleted so that the actual article could be moved to that title. As you clearly just wanted the fork file gone and did not say the original article should be moved here, I think a vote for a Redirect would be more in tune with what you were thinking. If this is correct, please consider changing or clarfiying your vote. Thanks. DreamGuy 15:26, July 17, 2005 (UTC)
Irish-American Mayors
editWhy should Irish-American Mayors be deleted? Your only reason was because of something I have been apart of unrelated to Irish-American Mayors. I hope you will change your vote because it is a good page and should not be deleted just because of the person who created it. 64.109.253.204 20:58, 17 July 2005 (UTC)
I'm putting together an RfC for Germen's behaviour on the Islamophobia article and associated pages. Since you have been involved in disputes with this user before I was hoping you might be able to contribute to the draft before I publish it on WP:RFC. Axon 12:21, 18 July 2005 (UTC)
- Very glad to hear it, I will help however I can. Dcarrano 14:38, July 18, 2005 (UTC)
- If you feel there is anything you can add to the RfC[1] draft please do feel free to add it. Axon 14:41, 18 July 2005 (UTC)

Those all sounds like valid points. Please feel free to add the diffs with descriptions for those excellent points the appropriate section of the RfC draft - it's getting a little late in the day for further RfC edits for me :) I've also contacted everybody who was involved with the dispute so it should be mostly covered. Axon 16:02, 18 July 2005 (UTC)
- Okay, I made some edits to the draft. Feel free to change/delete as you wish. Dcarrano 21:03, July 18, 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for you contributions to the RfC. I did decide to delete the references to 130.203.202.156: I believe, checking the contributions of this IP, it is actually Deeptrivia and not Germen. Actually, Deeptrivia's actions could probably earn him an RfC if not worse.
I also removed the reference to Germen's spurious VfU for Islamophilia... he has every right to at least attempt a VfU even if there is little chance of success. (That said, he makes intolerably hostile remarks to those who vote to Keep). Axon 09:39, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
I think deeptrivia's IP was 70.something... I forget now... but you're right that anything that isn't 100% provable should be left out. I notice from the VfU discussion that you found an offsite forum post of Germen's encouraging outsiders to come in and flood a VfD. Assuming this is verifiable as per above, this should also be included IMO, since meatpuppets are prohibited. Dcarrano 15:39, July 19, 2005 (UTC)
- No, I couldn't prove that it was Germen. Actually, I think its more likely to be Deeptrivia but without evidence I cannot say for sure. Whoever it was should be ashamed, but probably isnt't. I'm ready to publish the RfC so if you coudl review the changes to make sure you still endorse it I would be most grateful. Axon 16:19, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
- Looks good. Dcarrano 19:11, July 19, 2005 (UTC)
Please re-visit the discussion. Uncle G 10:58, 19 July 2005 (UTC)
Hi - can I get you to have another look at this now that I've extended the article? Cheers, Grutness...wha? 09:43, 23 July 2005 (UTC)
The bible
editFirstly let me say that I am sorry to have to bother you.
Secondly, I wish to let you know that a recent VFD that you took part in has closed. The result was that 32 people voted to keep all individual bible verses as seperate articles, and 34 voted that they shouldn't (2 abstensions, and 3 votes for both). This is considered by standard policy not to be a consensus decision (although the closing admin stated that it was a consensus to keep them).
Thirdly, the subject has now been put to a survey, so that it may remain open until there is a clear consensus for what appears to be a difficult issue to resolve. You may wish to take part in this survey, and record a similar vote to the one you made at the VFD there. The survey is available at Wikipedia:Bible verses.
RfA for Germen
editPlease be aware that, in light of the RfC against Germen, I have raised an request for arbitration for him. Axon (talk|contribs) 10:10, 28 July 2005 (UTC)
new vfd
editThe prior VFD that you voted at ended with no consensus, a new VFD has been opened at Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/Historical persecution by Muslims. ~~~~ 18:48, 29 July 2005 (UTC)

It's very hard to find out how a person is to defend themselves in Wikipedia. This may be the wrong place, and if it is I'm sorry. My name is John D Curnow and I'm not a hoax, as one person suggested. I was one of the first people to record bird songs in the midwest. My tapes were sold by the Audubon Camp here in Wisconsin. The NASCO Corp of Fort Atkins, WI sold my tapes to high schools all over the US and Canada for ten years. A copy of my book "Plant Communities - Ecological Studies Of The Upper Midwest" was copyrighted and sent to the Library Of Congress. I was also awarded the outstanding alumni award from the University Of Wisconsin-Platteville and I did teach from 1951 - 1999. I may not be important enough to be found in Google and I can accept that, but I'm certainly not a hoax!
