Footballer infoboxes
editHello, and thank you for trying to keep infoboxes tidy. Please would you be careful when making changes to dates. This change to Guus Hiddink was completely wrong. As the article states, Mr Hiddink was Chelsea caretaker for a few months in 2009 alongside being head coach of Russia. At Olivier Kapo, he played for Al-Ahly for five months in 2011, so it should say 2011 in the infobox. And at Panagiotis Triadis: when a player plays for a club's B-team in an open league, as here with SV Wehen Wiesbaden II in the Regionalliga, his appearances for that team should be recorded in the infobox. cheers, Struway2 (talk) 15:18, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
- And the one I forgot: when a player is on loan at a club, and then joins them permenently, the spells are kept separate in the infobox. Perhaps things are done differently on your country's Wikipedia? cheers, Struway2 (talk) 15:21, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
Hi, when you update the stats in fooball players' infoboxes please remember that you should also update the |pcupdate=
(or |club-update=
) parameter. This shows when the stats were last updated and prevents editors from accidentally updating the stats again. Thank you. --Jaellee (talk) 21:12, 28 September 2013 (UTC)
File permission problem with File:ArisBasketball.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:ArisBasketball.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.
If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.
If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read the Wikipedia's image use policy. October 2013
editHello, I'm Mattythewhite. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Roberto Mancini without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Possibly unfree File:Agia Sofia AEK.jpg
editA file that you uploaded or altered, File:Agia Sofia AEK.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you object to the listing for any reason. Thank you. Mattythewhite (talk) 16:08, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Nikos Goumas Stadium vs Agia Sofia Stadium
editYou appear to have moved Nikos Goumas Stadium to Agia Sofia Stadium, but I'm not sure this is a proper page move. The former stadium at which AEK Athens F.C. played was formally named Nikos Goumas Stadium. After that stadium's demolition, a new venue has been planned whose name may (or may not) eventually be decided as Agia Sofia Stadium. But these will be two separate facilities. Moving the one page to the other implies that they are one and the same facility.
If I have misinterpreted your actions, please let me know. Otherwise, I will recruit an administrator to help fix this problem. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 16:15, 3 October 2013 (UTC)
Diego da Silva Costa - and others!
editHi there DD7, AL from Portugal here,
could you please work as a team here please? The example of this player, the years in the infobox were correct as they were, he played with BRAGA from January 2006 until June 2006, so the years in box are shown as "2006", not "2006-07", same for RAYO VALLECANO (and by the way, he played there during the 2011-12 season, not 2012-13 like you wrote).
Second: i see you update several Greek players' statistics, please update also the date (in box, PC UPDATE for club games, NT UPDATE for international games) when you do so. Thank you, happy weekend --AL (talk) 23:15, 3 October 2013 (UTC)

editAs you obviously ignored what I and several other editors wrote about updating the pcupdate parameter, I consider such edits of you now as vandalism.
Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Luca Toni. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism. - Please do not add or change content, as you did to Sebastián Nayar, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. GiantSnowman 08:13, 7 October 2013 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 9
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Perivolia Municipal Stadium, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page NOVA (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Kekryra stadium.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Kekryra stadium.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please do no move articles to incorrect names
editHi. I appreciate your edits and your effort and time here, but please do not move articles of people to different names. You have done this recently for Kosta Koufos, Ioannis Papapetrou, and Ioannis Sfairopoulos (twice). Please do not continue to do this. Also, if you will, on the basketball players articles, in their infoboxes, where it lists what teams the players play on please put the team they currently play on as the exact link to the article of the team next to where it says team_link = (example, team_link = Panathinaikos B.C) and then where it says team = put the common name of the team or where it is linked to the infobox for the team's color code (example team = Panathinaikos Athens, which turn's the infobox green). If the infobox does not have the team's color, don't worry about it. Also, on the player's infoboxes, please don't change the years that players played with a team to the season's, counting it as they played in the year's of the season they were on that team, even if they were not on the team that year. For example, if the player played with a team in the 2011-12 season, but only played with the team in the year 2012, and not in the year 2011, leave it as just the year 2012, and not the year 2011 and the year 2012 as having played for that team. OK? If you have any questions feel free to ask me.Bluesangrel (talk) 21:56, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
- I ask again please that you do not add years in infoboxes for players or coaches having been on teams that they actually were not on those teams, such as this edit here [1] - please just edit to what years they were actually in the club, and not the seasons. In the writeup of the articles themselves list the seasons, but list the years in the infoboxes please.Bluesangrel (talk) 01:13, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- I will echo the above, such as with Yannis Anastasiou - please do not make controversial and undiscussed page moves, especially ones that seem to go against WP:COMMONNAME. You should use WP:RM if you wish to move a page. GiantSnowman 16:39, 16 October 2013 (UTC)

Seattle Supersonics players should stay listed as Sonics players, and not be changed to OKC Thunder players
editAndreas Glyniadakis did not play for the Oklahoma City Thunder, he played for the Seattle Supersonics. You edited that add changed it here --> [2] You should just leave the name of the club as it was at the time, because back then it was the team in Seattle. I realize this can be confusing, but that's how it should be. OK?Bluesangrel (talk) 01:02, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- Also, can you please avoid doing edits like this --> [3] that's not helpful, and just creates more work for other editors.Bluesangrel (talk) 01:09, 17 October 2013 (UTC)
- And, please leave the difference between 2nd and 1st divisions of leagues, if it is noted in the infoboxes, and please don't change it, and don't change a basketball club a football club please in the infobox, like you did in this edit [4] - OK?Bluesangrel (talk) 01:16, 17 October 2013 (UTC)

October, 2013
editPlease stop your disruptive editing, as you did at Jordan Farmar. Your edits have been reverted or removed.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
Do not continue to make edits that appear disruptive until the dispute is resolved through consensus. Continuing to edit disruptively may result in your being blocked from editing. You have been informed several times on your talk page about editing errors - changing/moving pages away from English spelling, unlinking correct historic names of clubs players competed for, etc. Please stop it. I would request that you learn more about existing conventions, project guidelines (WP:BASKETBALL, etc) and Wikipedia guidelines such as WP:OVERLINK. You are creating a lot of work for others right now. While I give you the benefit of the doubt that you don't mean harm, it is disruptive and untilmately you will get yourself blocked from editing if these actions continue. - I made the article for the smaller basketball arena in Ano Liossia, which is the one where they have been playing, 3rd Municipal Indoor Hall Ano Liossia. It is in the same city, and has the almost same name, but seats 3,000, instead of 9,300. I am sure this is the arena that AEK plays in. So I edited the team page for that and to show the common name of the arena, which is Zofria Indoor Hall, since I realize this could be very confusing.Bluesangrel (talk) 01:26, 20 October 2013 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Perivolia stadium.jpg
editA tag has been placed on File:Perivolia stadium.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.
File copyright problem with File:Pae kerkyra logo.jpg
editThank you for uploading File:Pae kerkyra logo.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright and licensing status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can verify that it has an acceptable license status and a verifiable source. Please add this information by editing the image description page. You may refer to the image use policy to learn what files you can or cannot upload on Wikipedia. The page on copyright tags may help you to find the correct tag to use for your file. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.
Please also check any other files you may have uploaded to make sure they are correctly tagged. Here is a list of your uploads.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Stefan2 (talk) 13:58, 8 March 2014 (UTC)
