- Thanks for signing on as a supporter of Wikipedia:WikiProject Home Living. If you want to collaborate on something related to domestic life then message me. I work for New York-based nonprofit Consumer Reports and I am trying to find ways to share our home economics information on Wikipedia. I am always happy to see a technical writer take interest in Wikipedia. Let me know if you need anything. Blue Rasberry (talk) 12:08, 25 February 2014 (UTC)

Invitation to Wikiconference USA
editHello! In New York City Friday 30 May - Sunday 1 June Wikiconference USA will be held as a national United States Wikipedia meetup hosted by Wikimedia New York City and Wikimedia DC. All are welcome to attend. Scholarship applications to cover travel expenses are accepted until the end of March and presentation submissions are requested until that time but can be accepted until closer to the conference.
In previous years New York City conferences have gathered 150 attendees. At this conference we are hoping for more people to attend.
I remembered in visiting your page that you had a history in New York and thought that you might live nearby. If you like and if you are able, please join us. Blue Rasberry (talk) 22:08, 12 March 2014 (UTC)
Thanks User:Bluerasberry...I've been away too long but hope to make up for lost time. I am building a local wiki on a SharePoint site at work and often reference Wikipedia articles for content and pictures. I wish I had seen your post from a year ago, I might have gone to NYC for this conference. I grew up in upstate NY and now live in the Washington, DC area. - What a weird coincidence... I am in DC right now, visiting from New York, to meet with others tomorrow to plan this year's WikiConference in DC. I have no date or location at this time but check Wikipedia:Meetup/DC for details soon. Blue Rasberry (talk) 19:35, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
- I don't believe in coincidences! If you'd like to connect, drop me a note on my gmail account, demysticway. I've been busy with work and writing my book, so I haven't done much editing lately. I plan on tasking myself with doing some each week...Fridays are light here, so it is a good time to do this. I'm out of practice with this markup, so feel free to correct anything you see me doing wrong! DeWriterMD (talk) 20:45, 13 March 2015 (UTC)
- Wish I could make time to go, but I just used up my vaca time...and then some! I'll try to pencil in next year's event. Let me know when/where that is, User: Bluerasberry! PS, I don't see a WikiConference listed for DC this year, one back in 2012 I know I missed...:( DeWriterMD (talk) 22:02, 27 May 2015 (UTC)
