Speedy deletion nomination of User:CRANAplus/sandbox

edit

[[File:Ambox warning pn.svg|48px|left|alt=|link=]

A tag has been placed on your user page, User:CRANAplus/sandbox, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be blatant advertising which only promotes or publicises a company, product, group or service. This is a violation of our policies regarding acceptable use of user pages — user pages are intended for active editors of Wikipedia to communicate with one another as part of the process of creating encyclopedic content, and should not be mistaken for free webhosting resources or advertising space. Please read the guidelines on spam, the guidelines on user pages, and, especially, our FAQ for Organizations.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Cahk (talk) 07:09, 22 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

There have been two problems with this account: the account has been used for advertising or promotion, which is contrary to the purpose of Wikipedia, and your username indicates that the account represents a business or other organisation or group, which is also against policy, as an account must be for just one person. Because of those problems, the account has been blocked indefinitely from editing.

If you intend to make useful contributions about some topic other than your business or organisation, you may request an unblock. To do so, post the text {{unblock-spamun|Your proposed new username|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page. Replace the text "Your proposed new username" with a new username you are willing to use. See Special:CentralAuth to search for available usernames. Your new username will need to meet our username policy. Replace the text "Your reason here" with your reason to be unblocked. In that reason, you must:

  • Convince us that you understand the reason for your block and that you will not repeat the kind of edits for which you were blocked.
  • Describe in general terms the contributions that you intend to make if you are unblocked.
If you believe this block was made in error, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} at the bottom of your talk page, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Widr (talk) 08:05, 22 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Can you describe what edits you will be planning on undertaking if the account is unblocked, which topic areas any specific articles and also what you will refrain from doing? Amortias (T)(C) 19:13, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Dear Amortias, The original article is deleted, and if it is not, I will delete and commence again. I have observed a more acceptable manner in which to present the notable information in an article, that is more informative and will request the article is observed in the category of public interest under the Rural organisations in Australia, like other public service entities. I have re read the guidelines on how to write first articles, which is comprehensive and will be used. I recognize that I have made errors as a beginner and am very mindful to this. I intend to use the valuable dialogues in Teahouse to assist me rather than try and go alone this time. I realise that I am the user and as an individual will be sharing information that i think is valuable and should not be presenting it as a promotion. Deb DebraCerasa (talk) 21:31, 31 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

I think what Amortias was actually getting at is - are there any other topics other than CRANAplus you would like to edit on Wikipedia? I think you should forget about trying to re-create the article and let somebody more experienced do it - although many people start off editing here with a new article, it's usually a bad idea as most of the core encyclopedia topics are already written. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 16:44, 1 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ritchie333, thank you for your words and offering some clarity. I see now what both Amortias and you are saying and i will certainly take that in board. I am going to spend some time in Teahouse chatting, so I also gain some better understanding and then start some editing attempts. Thanks again, Deb DebraCerasa (talk) 05:29, 2 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

I was thinking more of what specific topics / articles you'd like to edit? If you've got some idea of that, I can point you in the direction of some editors who may be help. Just list a few articles, and that should be enough to convince me to unblock. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 14:34, 2 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Good Morning Ritchie333, I am sorry I have taken so long to respond, I was away from my computer all day yesterday. Thank you again for the message and I really appreciate your assistance and guidance. It would be awesome to be directed to some editors who could assist me develop some skills. (I am such an absolute beginner). I have two main areas of interests (as a starting point). I am interested in Healthcare and social determinants of health and all that is attached to that. Including hospital care, community health, primary health, mental health, health research, health professionals (including nursing, midwifery, allied health, medical), health policy, well being and community/society health literacy, to name a few areas. I am also very interested in rural, remote and isolated life (including health care in these areas). This interest is both global and Australian. Some of the articles I have been looking at so far are Nursing, Australian College of Nursing, National Rural Health Alliance, Medicine, Midwifery, Mental Health. I hope this provides enough information, but I will be happy to respond further if you need more information. Again many thanks, DebraCerasa DebraCerasa (talk) 22:29, 3 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Dear Ritchie333 and good morning. I was wondering if the information provided for you is sufficient to respond to your query? I am unsure if I need to do anything else to be unblocked? I would be grateful if you have any further advice for me? Regards Debra DebraCerasa (talk) 23:13, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Ritchie333, I am not sure that my two previous messages are reaching you? And I wonder if I am not including a correct annotation? Regards Debra DebraCerasa (talk) 23:21, 7 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi, sorry I meant to check up on this page but didn't - in future, type {{ping|Ritchie333}} to get my attention. I'm happy with your answer here, so I'm unblocking. If you need further help with editing, the Teahouse is available for new user questions, also Bfpage is an experienced editor in health and medicine articles who may be able to offer further advice. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 12:17, 10 August 2017 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of CRANAplus

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on CRANAplus, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Conflict of interest

edit

Hello Debra. If you have an association with CRANAplus, you should review our guidance on conflict of interest and make an open disclosure of your connection on your user page (User:DebraCerasa).

I do not know if you are receiving financial compensation from this organization. If you are being compensated, then your declaration becomes mandatory as part of Wikipedia's terms of use and policy on paid contribution disclosure. --Drm310 🍁 05:27, 1 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hello Drm310, Drm310 Thank you for the contact and advising me of your thought. I want to clarify why it may seem to be a conflict of interest however I do not believe there is. CRANAplus is a not for profit / non government organisation membership organisation. Yes, I am a member, by choice and i pay an annual membership fee. I do not work for them or i am not employed by them. I do believe they are a good organisation. Like many NFP organistaions (alos some of which I am a member) have pages I thought it would be good to see them with a Wikipedia page. When I first tried to create a page my own error was to create the page in the name of CRANAplus - after recognizing my error, as highlighted by other administrators I changed the page to be my own personal account. I did read all the recommended instruction pages and the conflict of Interest pages, which is why I attempted to create a page again. I am obviously making some mistakes as a beginner, but am definitely not doing this as a blatant promotion or company advertising. I hope this helps explain my intention.
