Hi, and welcome to the London Transport WikiProject! We're a group of editors working to improve Wikipedia's coverage of London's transport system.

A few features that you might find helpful:

  • You may want to join or create a task force which attempts to drive the improvement of articles within a smaller scope.
  • The project also provides templates to help you make the perfect article.

There are a variety of interesting things to do within the project; you're free to participate however much—or little—you like:

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask another fellow member, and we'll be happy to help you. Again, welcome! We look forward to seeing you around!

Buses WikiProject

edit

I notice that you have edited lists of bus routes recently. You might be interested in helping with the new WikiProject buses, especially the proposed Bus route list guide. We are also working out when a bus route should have its own article and other issues. --NE2 15:32, 25 April 2007 (UTC)Reply

London Buses route 7

edit

I'm sorry, an error on my part.

I am not sure why you identified edits by 219.79.11.25 (talk · contribs) to London Buses route 7 (here) as vandalism? They were perfectly valid, in my opinion, adding to the article and not taking anything away. Denham331 10:15, 12 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

East London line replacement routes

edit

I saw that you made some edits to London Buses route ELC. I started creating a template for it. Any ideas on improving it in any way? --sonicKAI (talk) 09:35, 14 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

I was going to suggest a template for this but did not know how to. It looks good - comparing with the London Bus Routes template, is there a reason you have not included the garage or route length? I dont know about the fares section - I was under the impression the Oyster readers on the replacement buses did not deduct £1, but I cant find any information about the Oyster Fares charged. Denham331 (talk) 15:35, 15 April 2008 (UTC)
I didn't really see a reason to include route length, since the path that the buses take could be changed at any time. As far as I know, the buses charge the standard tube fare for Zone 2, which is displayed. I'm going to put garage back in, though. After that, the template should be ready to use. --sonicKAI (talk) 23:38, 15 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Date: 13:00 onwards, Sunday 10 August 2008

Venue: Penderel's Oak pub, Holborn WC1 map

More information: Wikipedia:Meetup/London 12

Hello,

I noticed that you have listed yourself as a Wikipedian in London, so I thought you might like to come to one of our monthly social meetups. The next one is going to be on Sunday 10 August, which might well be rather short notice, but if you can't come this time, we try to have one every second Sunday of the month.

If you haven't been before, these meetups are mainly casual social events for Wikipedia enthusiasts in which we chat about Wikipedia and any other topics we fancy. It's a great way to meet some very keen Wikipedians, but we'd also love for you to come along if you're interested in finding out more about Wikipedia, other Wikimedia projects, or other collaborative wiki projects too.

The location is a pub that is quite quiet and family friendly on a Sunday lunchtime, so hopefully younger Wikipedians will also feel welcome and safe. Alcohol consumption is certainly not required!

Although the meetups are popular, many UK-based editors still don't know about them. It would be great to welcome some fresh faces, so I hope you can come along.

Yours,

James F. (talk) 09:27, 3 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Please forgive the slightly impersonal mass-invite!

Hello. Regarding the above article, sections are removed because they violate WP:BLP, a core policy on Wikipedia. Biographies about living people must be sourced to reliable sources (not forum posts, etc.). It would be great if you could provide sources for your contributions. Thanks. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/London Buses route ELW until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. DitzyNizzy (aka Jess)|(talk to me)|(What I've done) 15:17, 25 September 2010 (UTC)Reply

London Wikimedia Fundraiser

edit

Good evening! This is a friendly message from Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry, inviting you to the London Wikimedia Fundraising party on 19th December 2010, in approximately one week. This party is being held at an artistic London venue with room for approximately 300 people, and is being funded by Ed Saperia, a non-Wikipedian who has a reputation for holding exclusive events all over London. This year, he wants to help Wikipedia, and is subsidising a charity event for us. We're keen to get as many Wikimedians coming as possible, and we already have approximately 200 guests, including members of the press, and some mystery guests! More details can be found at http://ten.wikipedia.org/wiki/London - expect an Eigenharp, a mulled wine hot tub, a free hog roast, a haybale amphitheatre and more. If you're interested in coming - and we'd love to have you - please go to the ten.wikipedia page and follow the link to the Facebook event. Signing up on Facebook will add you to the party guestlist. Entry fee is a heavily subsidised £5 and entry is restricted to over 18s. It promises to be a 10th birthday party to remember! If you have any questions, please email me at chasemewiki at gmail.com.

Hope we'll see you there, (and apologies for the talk page spam) - Chase me ladies, I'm the Cavalry (talk) 22:45, 12 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Dormskirk. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Westminster City Council, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. Template:RouteBox ({{rbox}})

Please review the documentation for this template. When you used it in Template:London bus corridor SL8 the text was illegible because of incorrect syntax. (Links are parameter 2; the template doesn't display correctly if you insert regular wikilinks as parameter 1.) Thank you. Useddenim (talk) 14:27, 12 July 2024 (UTC)Reply
