Leaves of Morya's Garden I

edit

It was written by Nicholas Roerich. The rest were written by Helena Roerich. This was from conversation with Daniel Entin, director of the Roerich Museum. I was very surprised to find that out. There is, of course, nothing in any of the books that gives authorship. Malcolm Schosha (talk) 00:33, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, but this is not the case. See, for example, the bibliography on the site Chariteble Foundition by name of Helena Roerich. The bibliography of Nicholas Roerich: http://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Рерих,_Николай_Константинович#Основные_труды_Н._К._Рериха. --Deodarvostok (talk) 14:35, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

It seems I remembered incorrectly, but not entirely:

Ruth Abrams Drayer describes the revelatory process in America before the Roerichs left in 1923: "They would sit together and first Nicholas and then later Helena would transmit questions that the students were allowed to ask of Master Morya.... The answers from the Master were written out by Nicholas Roerich on big scrolls of sketching paper.[1]

The fact that Nicholas Roerich actually wrote down Leaves of Morya's Garden I, perhaps does give that book a slightly different quality than the others. Malcolm Schosha (talk) 21:57, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Nicholas Roerich

edit

It would be possible, if you would like, to add an image gallery to the Roerich article. The processes of creating a gallery for an article is described here [2]. An example of a gallery in an actual article can be seen here [3]. Malcolm Schosha (talk) 13:04, 13 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Спасибо за предложение, но сначало лучше перевести статью из Русской Википедии. (Thanks for the offer, but first is better translated article from Russian Wikipedia) --Deodarvostok (talk) 09:10, 8 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

AfD nomination of Agni Yoga

edit

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is Agni Yoga. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Agni Yoga. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:08, 31 August 2009 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:Voronzov conference2003.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Voronzov conference2003.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 21:44, 26 June 2012 (UTC)Reply

Citations

edit

In this edit you added many citation-like numbers [23] [24] etc. but no citations. Where are they? Shii (tock) 15:30, 1 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Oh, this is from Russian Wikipedia correct? Shii (tock) 15:32, 1 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Orphaned non-free image File:Professor Nicholas Roerich.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Professor Nicholas Roerich.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Skier Dude (talk) 03:06, 17 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Nomination of Agni Yoga for deletion

edit

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Agni Yoga is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Agni Yoga (2nd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Ricky81682 (talk) 01:01, 6 July 2015 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
