Edit warring warning
editYou currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Operation Wheeler/Wallowa. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement. You have not followed WP:BRD this page was stable until you made your IP edits on 29 June which I reverted as incorrect yeaterday. I explained this on the Talk Pagehere Talk:Operation Wheeler/Wallowa#My Lai Massacre was part of Operation Muscatine, not Operation Wheeler/Walllowa however rather than discussing there you have not followed BRD and instead edit warred by reverting me twice today, please revert your edits and discuss on the Talk Page. - I don't have time for this, I don't see why anyone would care this much about something so insignificant.
- By the way you had made the more recent edits by the looks of things; so you should be doing BRD since you are disrupting a stable edit in June. Not that many people are interested on this neither am I really except you dismissing a reputed source and removing reffs to the My Lai massacre. all of this seems incredibly petty anyways and I have much more interesting things to do. Unblock Request
editDeogyusan (block log • active blocks • global blocks • contribs • deleted contribs • filter log • creation log • change block settings • unblock • checkuser (log))
Request reason:
I have recently blocked after a user accuses me of being a sockpuppet here, with administrative decision on grounds that I am a "likely sock". [1]. While I admit that I have RVd pages the user edited within the last month, since I followed his edit history, The reasoning was that I was a "likely sockpuppet" with my account and IP banned indefinitely. I will comment on two things, first is that the grounds of overlap is fairly thin and there should be more due-diligence on this matter before indefinitely blocking me, and second that I am suitably able to refrain from reverting content the user in question has made. Sockpuppeting Proceedings
- I do understand that there is potential sock however the user has made multiple sock claims, repeatedly, here with many not passing, including #1[2], #2 [3]and #3[4].*The user is non-neutral on the supposed edits, having made a request here [5]. The user has engaged in edit wars over content with an admin likewise for that same page, as found here [6] and here [7] on the same issue.
- I understand that preventing disruptive edits is a fairly good reason to block, but I do not think there was a good enough due-diligence in seeing if I was a sock, while blocking my IP and my account as I do contribute to other articles, not related to this topic at all.
- I understand that I may also be possibly engaging in WP:HOUND of the user's edits by following his/her edit history.
Refraining from Edit Wars
- I am able to suitably refrain from continuing this content dispute that caused this user to accuse me of being a sockpuppet. Its just not worth my time to do so. I can also continue to remain logged using this account more frequently. A check of my edit history shows I am not interested in this user's overlapping edit area and all of my interacting edits were reverts of the user's edits on fair grounds.
- Its not worth my time to get into arguments on wikipedia. I will refrain from edit wars with said user, and can definetly avoid the pages that the user spends all of his/her time on.
- Frankly I do not want to interact with people in a hostile manner, its not worth my time. The last time I logged I did not continue once the user in question brought an edit war notification, as seen above on my page.
Purpose of Account Unblock Request
- As I have a static IP and have moved to a new location this overt indefinite block is problematic for me. I can refrain from using my IP but this double block is problematic. Deogyusan (talk) 16:39, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Checkuser and behavioral results are convincing. --jpgordon𝄢𝄆 𝄐𝄇 23:59, 23 September 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
