Deschutes Land Trust moved to draftspace
editIt appears that you may have a conflict of interest with the subject of Deschutes Land Trust, and as such you should submit this article to be published through the Articles for Creation process. Before editing the article further, please first disclose on your user page and on the article's Talk page whether you have received money to write this or other articles on Wikipedia, or if you have any other kind of conflict of interest concerning the subject. I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. Before submitting, you should make sure that the article is fully compliant with Wikipedia’s neutrality and verifiability policies, as well as our notability guidelines. When you’re ready, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. This process is encouraged, but optional. If you choose not to participate in it, you can remove the AfC template and move the article back to mainspace. You should also consider reaching out to the Teahouse for additional feedback and aid from experienced editors. signed, Rosguill talk 00:07, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- Thanks for your interest in this. I don't believe there is any COI here, and I will try to document that, but I'm new here and don't know exactly how to proceed. First, where on my user page should I put my disclaimer of conflicts: just as text on the main user page, in my user talk page (i.e. here), or is there a special template for that? Second, it appears that the article was duplicated to draftspace instead of being moved: the article still exists in mainspace. (The version in draftspace is an earlier revision, so this may be because it was moved while I had it open for editing it in mainspace.) Should I respond in the Talk for the article in mainspace, or that in draftspace? Presumably one version should be removed, and I'd like to keep the latest version that is in mainspace. Thanks for your help. 01:11, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- Given that you're complying with this request and denying any affiliation, and that my reason for suspecting COI was fairly minor, a simple disavowal here is enough to satisfy me at this time. The article split into two versions seems to have occurred because of an edit conflict between my attempt to move it to draftspace and your additional edit. Given that another new page reviewer has approved the copy that remained in mainspace, I'm ok with just leaving that be, although I've merged the applicable history from the draft into the mainspace copy. signed, Rosguill talk 16:30, 5 January 2021 (UTC)
- For the record: I added a COI section to my user page, and added "connected contributor" templates to the talk pages for both related articles: Deschutes Land Trust and Metolius Preserve. I'll be more pro-active about that in the future. --Deschutensis (talk; COI statement) 01:36, 17 January 2021 (UTC)
