Hi! Feel free to leave a message, I'll respond back here unless otherwise noted.    desertfae

{{adminhelp}} Admins- Please see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Jpgordon#Category:Wikipedia_sockpuppets_of_Anne_Teedham - The sockpuppets of User Anne Teedham [[1]] have created quite a mess of multiple pages within wikipedia, those of us involved in things surrounding those pages-Inslaw, Danny Casolaro, Michael Riconosciuto, Wackenhut, Peter Videnieks, Earl Brian, United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners, Political scandals of the United States, Robert Hanssen, Prosecutor's Management Information System, October surprise conspiracy theory, United States Office of the Independent Counsel, Ted Gunderson, and more are wondering if there's a way to revert all of the edits this person has done? If you look at the talk pages related to Inslaw and Michael Riconosciuto you'll see where this person has been quite biased in their editing and promoting misinformation throughout these articles. Any help you can give would be great.Desertfae (talk) 13:01, 21 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi there.

We can't revert all of a persons edits I'm afraid; no matter how we feel, it's possible that some of the edits may be valid additions to the project, so we have to look at every edit, assess it and act as necessary. Sometimes it is extremely difficult to assume good faith, but we strive to do that in the face of all adversity.

When I say 'we', that includes you. Admins are not different from any other Wikipedian, in terms of their power to decide what is right and wrong. They merely have the power to wield their mop and take action to delete things, and block users, according to consensus.

Therefore, I'd suggest two things;

  • If you feel action is required concerning a user (such as warnings, leading to a possible block) please give specific details in the form of diffs, summarising your reasons as succinctly as possible. I assure you that such matters do recieve attention very quickly.

If I can help any further, please leave a note on my own talk page.

Many thanks for bringing the matter to my attention, --  Chzz  ►  17:28, 21 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Unfortunately it looks like you did not read my response or the reason for the revert of the header you have put back onto the page. I realize that you feel very strongly about the vandalism that may or may not have been done by the particular user that was banned with their sock puppets. However, it was is inappropriate to put this sort of a header into the article. Please take it to the talk page for the article. Or even better, why not fix the vandalism by being bold. Please revert your edits which added back in the inappropriate header or I will need to. Thanks. TimonyCrickets (talk) 20:49, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I notice you seem to be following in the footsteps of recent trolls & sockpuppets on wikipedia that were banned. I noticed also that you have changed and seem interested in the same articles that the banned person had an interest in, and you took it a step further and decided to trash my wiki on my site. BTW, I installed it, myself and others have the correct info on it before the vandalism occured, and I don't need to link anything I don't wish to on it, because it's mine, thank you very much. I suggest that unless you want to be looked at as another sockpuppet you cease and desist vandalism on wikipedia immediately. Thank you.Desertfae (talk) 19:12, 21 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

You need to read Wikipedia's articles on Civility, Good Faith, Vandalism, and licensing procedures. With regard to the latter, you need to read specifically the GNU Free Documentation License conditions of the rights of the authors of the main articles from which you have freely copied material for all the subpages of your website: i.e. "All previous authors of the work must be attributed." Additionally, you may find Wikipedia's articles on harassment and dispute resolution deeply revealing.
You and I have no further need for communication. I will ignore you. —Merry Yellow (talk) 13:52, 25 April 2009 (UTC)Reply
