edit"Terminated," as Simon Beavis has stated, is meant to be used so as to model the infobox after a U.S. Military database. At Wikipedia, the neutral point of view (see the Wikipedia:Five pillars is one of the main tenets, and so the neutral term "Deceased" is preferable. - Paulus89 20:01, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Mexican league
editYou need to understand the complexities of the Mexican league...
First of all, it would be unfair for unqualified teams to be judged according to their league table positions, when just today, Chivas del Guadalajara, who ended 8th in the league table, became champion. So, how to judge them? Where they 8th or 1st?
Additionally, the league table only serves as part of the measurement for qualifying. Another measurement is the group tables. Toluca was 4th in the league, but had to go to wild card matches because they where third in their group. Vercruz was also third in their group but ended in the 9th position.
Finally, the league table doesn't even give an idea how bad a team is, because the Mexican criteria for relegation is the percentual table, in which Tigres ended 13th (compared to 16th in the league)...
Because of all this complexity, the unspoken consensus among Mexican editors (and status quo for the Mexican league) had been the previous style of description in their position (qualify to which stay, or did not qualify). I urge you to respect that, though I understand it may not be valid for other leagues, the Mexican league is so complex and different from other leagues, that I think this is the best way to do it.
The alternative would be to list:
- Their position in the league table
- Their position in the group table
- Their position in the percentual table
- Their position in the play-offs
Only that would be COMPLETELY fair for all Mexican league teams. I hope you understand that my intention is not vandalism or "making my team look better". It isn't. Simply respecting status quo based on the simplicity the system provided for the Mexican league. Hari Seldon 21:55, 10 December 2006 (UTC)
- If you want to do that, be my guest. It is too much work and I am in the middle of exams week, so I won't be much help until probably next saturday. But if you do it, and present ALL positions in ALL teams, I'll support it. Hari Seldon 23:07, 10 December 2006 (UTC)

Duplicate images uploaded
editThanks for uploading Image:Kit body america2.png. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:NewCAjersey.png. The copy called Image:NewCAjersey.png has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.
This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 21:31, 12 July 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:FMF.gif
editThanks for uploading or contributing to Image:FMF.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Alx 91 00:54, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:FMF.gif)
editThanks for uploading Image:FMF.gif. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. NotifyBot (talk) 13:01, 17 April 2008 (UTC)
Cut and paste move
editThank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you recently copied the contents of a page and pasted it into another with a different name. Specifically, you copied the contents of La Primera División and pasted it into Primera División de México. This is what we call a "cut and paste move", and it is very undesirable because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. The mechanism we use for renaming an article is to move it to a new name which both preserves the page's history and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves to request the move by another. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. Thank you. --Geniac (talk) 18:55, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
