Welcome
editHello DetoxAgent and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.
If you still have questions, there is a new contributors' help page, or you can to ask for help on your talk page, and a volunteer should respond shortly. You may also find the following pages useful for a general introduction to Wikipedia.
I hope you enjoy editing and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~

Request reason:
The small sequence of edits generated by our bot were due to testing of unsubmitted code, and a miscommunication about the restrictions regarding edits for an unapproved bot. This bot is still under development and we do not intend to be making unassisted edits. The 3 identical Talk page deletes created on May 12 were part of a test that unintentionally made calls to the wikipedia API.
Decline reason:
I'm not sure who "we/our" is, but you need to better explain your purpose here and how it benefits this encyclopedia, and indicate that you understand the process for creating and getting bots approved. Accounts cannot be shared as well. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 02:26, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
DetoxAgent is a research bot account developed and run by Alphabet Jigsaw.
Using models developed for detecting toxic or otherwise offensive comments, we present users with examples of comments from article Talk pages that score high on this negative attributes, and offer Wikipedians the opportunity to see these comments in context, and provide a simple interface to revert these edits.
The draft request for approval can be seen here https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Bots/Requests_for_approval/DetoxAgent#DetoxAgent
I've restricted access to this account so that I hold the only password. We've been in discussion with wikimedia foundation and have revised the manner in which we plan to handle revisions. In the future I intend only to make revisions to this Bot's main page and namespace. If there are any remaining issues, please let me know.

Request reason:
I've documented who we are and what we are doing and complied with the requests regarding account sharing.

Accepted per below note. NinjaRobotPirate (talk) 18:57, 6 June 2019 (UTC)
Can you ask those at the Foundation that you have communicated with to comment? 331dot (talk) 19:20, 31 May 2019 (UTC)
- @331dot: I can attest to everything said above. This account was created by developers at Jigsaw (sister company of Google) as part of a project to detect disruptive comments, and allow patrollers to revert them through a web interface. This semi-automation through the bot account has been retired in favour of simply linking to a URL to undo the edit on-wiki. There is still an idea to have the bot write to its userspace with links to diffs, as another venue for patrolling. The use-case is authentic and developers are now aware of bot policy, so I would advocate for unblocking. I will also help coordinate a rename of this account to User:DetoxBot for better transparency that edits may be automated. Thanks, MusikAnimal (WMF) (talk) 03:09, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
- I would like another admin to see this, but I would be inclined to unblock. 331dot (talk) 10:21, 3 June 2019 (UTC)
