Hi! As someone plugged into the Energy Portal, you might be interested to know that I've made a request for a portal peer review today - perhaps you might like to contribute your thoughts? If you haven't stopped by the Energy portal recently, you'll see that it's now looking rather different too! Gralo 18:45, 1 March 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi Philbentley. I knew that you are familiar with oil industry as also with the Caspian region. Maybe you could assist to improve the articles on the Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline and the Trans-Caspian Oil Pipeline? Thank you in advance. Beagel 19:29, 20 May 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oilfield Infobox

edit

Dear Phil - box is a very good start, I would also include equity percentages for that partners (if that Info exists) together with any quoted reserves (rather than just stoiips), keep up good work -Alan

Hi Philbentley. I also think that the box is very good start. Certainly it's not too technical. Concerning including physcial properties, I think it would be ok, although it could be probably work to find this information about all oil fields added to Wikipedia. Beagel 19:51, 13 June 2007 (UTC)Reply
Phil, the oil field box is indeed a good start. However, we should probably make a template that makes it much easier to enter all the data. If data is missing, the box won't look bad. Also, we should be consistent with other infoboxes throughout Wikipedia. Check out this category: Category:Geography_infobox_templates Let's make a new template for oil fields: Template:Infobox Oil field. Kgrr 14:27, 3 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Oil shale

edit

Hi Phil. Thank you for the link and your contributions.Beagel 15:18, 8 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

My intention is to go after peer review for GA and then for FA. I agree that this article is growing too long (and also too large by its size) and I think that probably there could be separate article on Oil shale industry. In this case, all current industry, economics and environment sections will be moved to the new article and article on oil shale will include geology and reserves sections and only short industry overview. However, I think it's better to keep right now all information together and make separation only after peer review or even after GA review. What you think? Beagel 17:43, 9 July 2007 (UTC)Reply
I listed Oil shale for the new peer review and and related spin-off articles (Oil shale extraction, Oil shale geology, Oil shale industry, History of the oil shale industry, Oil shale reserves, Oil shale economics, and Environmental effects of oil shale industry) for the peer review.Beagel 17:06, 28 August 2007 (UTC)Reply

Awarded for contributions to the oil shale topics. Beagel 14:11, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thank you for your assistance improving the Oil shale article to the GA level. Of course the work continues and I hope that you will be able to continue to contribute also for FAC nomination and improving other oil shale related articles. I think the next GAC could be the Oil shale geology and the Oil shale extraction. Beagel 14:11, 21 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Nunaoil logo.gif

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Nunaoil logo.gif. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Orphaned non-free image (Image:BG Group.jpg)

edit

Thanks for uploading Image:BG Group.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Do you want to opt out of receiving this notice? Oil shale extraction

edit

Hi, Phil. I am planning to renominate the Oil shale extraction article for FAC. Of course, this article is not ready for renomination yet, but I am planning to concentrate on this in coming months. You have done an excellent work on improving oil-shale related articles and I hope you will have a time to assist also with this article. Thank you in advance. Beagel (talk) 19:06, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Phil. The article is almost there. It still needs some fresh views, reviewing and final copyediting, but otherwise it is probably ready for the FAC renomination. I think this is the stage where your assistance would be most valuable. Please share your views what you think about the current stage and perspectives of this article, and how to organize the further work with that. Thank you.
