Hi Dg,
I wanted to comment on the remark that you made on the talk page for the "Pro-pedophile activism" page, under "what's going on here?". Bravo! I'm glad that you don't allow the use of Wikipedia in by your students. I only wish that all teachers, grades K on up, would follow suit.
The reason that the "article" sites the strategies for promoting public acceptance of child rape is that it was written, and largely edited, by pedophiles. There are several who have joined the ranks of WP for this purpose, and are constantly editing pages related to pedophilia, child sexuality, and teen sexuality, as a means of promoting public acceptance of what they do. Surprised? I was, too.
I run a site that is dedicated to promoting awareness of pedophile tactics, and while I have done a lot of research in this area, you won't find any more knowledgeable sources than the folks at Warriors For Innocence and Absolute Zero United. They are the folks who actually go out there on the web and find these creeps and expose them for what they really are. Also, there is another Wiki project called Wikisposure that explains a lot of what is going on within Wikipedia. It's pretty scary stuff.
I've onlly gotten down to your remark on that page at the time of this writing, and I've counted 3 people so far that I believe to be pedophiles (one of whom has been deleted, and I believe is also named on wikisposure.)
Thank you for trying to bring a bit of reason to that "discussion".
