Delirium

edit

Thank you for your additions to delirium. The Siddiqui source is simply excellent. With regards to the 4AT, I had difficulty finding a secondary source (see WP:MEDRS for explanation) that supports the use of this tool. The British delirium guideline (NICE CG103) recommends only CAM (or CAM-ICU) as a screening tool. JFW | T@lk 18:07, 22 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

References

edit

Medical articles on Wikipedia must be cited by the best available evidence and written in a consistent format. A list of resources to help edit such articles can be found here. Additionally, the diberri tool will aid in the formatting of references; all one needs to do is cut and paste the results. The welcome page is another good place to learn about editing the encyclopedia. If you have any questions, please feel free to drop me a note. Cheers. Sorry just say the first ref and not the second. Readded the text and made a few changes to the formatting. The meta analysis comments that statin where shown to be effective in a previous meta analysis thus the primary research paper is not really needed. Anyway thanks for the correction. Speedy deletion nomination of File:EDAlogo.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:EDAlogo.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F2 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is an image page for a missing or corrupt image or an empty image description page for a Commons-hosted image.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Just in case...

edit

If you need a board to approve of any text/revision, then Wikipedia might not be the place to publish it. =) Of course, I still strongly believe in Wikipedia's ability to maintain extraordinarily high-quality text. I am proud of what I've contributed to DVT, for example. But things can change at any moment. For example, I just did this: [1]. Biosthmors (talk) 20:27, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

And after looking at it again, I just decided I could improve upon it further. So I did! [2] Best. Biosthmors (talk) 20:32, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Before I provide comments, I'll wait for your reply here on your user talk page just to make sure you're still confident you're going to stick around. =) Biosthmors (talk) 20:37, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

In my opinion, the best scenario would be one person making the edits, on their own behalf (see WP:ROLE), but of course you could consider peer review feedback from the people at your organization. As you would also consider peer review feedback from competent Wikipedians. And consensus (whatever that means!) carries the day. Biosthmors (talk) 20:42, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

Still around! Thanks for the tips, will think on it. I guess I'll see what sort of response I get from the bit I've just done. Other persons from EDA will be sending bits for me to compile, and you're right, that 'document' won't exist in that form forever once on wikipedia. Happy to see how it goes for now. Thanks again Dhj davis (talk) 21:28, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Just know that per WP:ROLE you are editing as an individual, despite you receiving recommendations from others. It's a part of our own bureaucracy here. =) Biosthmors (talk) 21:53, 20 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
I left some comments at Talk:Delirium#Comments. Thanks. Biosthmors (talk) 06:15, 21 November 2012 (UTC)Reply
