My blurb is actually a simplified version, the truth is copyright law is very complex. In order to determine the copyright status of the plaque, we need to know its location and what year it was put up. Since it dates to prior to 1978, it might be PD if it was never copyrighted and/or if its copyright was never renewed. There's a copyright renewal database at Stanford but it takes a certain amount of knowledge and skill to use. New article containing copy-paste

When you have a moment, could you please have a look at the notice I left a user regarding the creation of Turkic people of Iran (which has been nominated for deletion) and the attribution notes I made for one section of it? I didn’t go through the whole article in the hope that the user will follow my example, so I want to make sure it’s correct. The paragraph in question (and at least one more) also appeared in Earwig’s tool at the Iran Gazette but I suspect they copied from us rather than the converse.—Odysseus1479 22:18, 1 November 2016 (UTC)

Hi Odysseus; your sample edit summary is perfect. However I betcha the user will not follow through and provide edit summaries for the other copyings. You may wind up having to do it all yourself. Thanks for checking. I agree we can’t be sure; my suspicion is based on the fact that “and in the neighboring regions of Turkmenistan up to beyond the Amu Darya River” (a somewhat peculiar phrasing) was added to the Khorasani Turks paragraph, a few weeks after its creation five years ago, by a different editor, while a lack of history at archive.org would suggest the IG page is fairly new—although if they got their 1-M population figure from our infobox it must have been before this past February.

Is there a way to use {{Copied}} that accommodates multiple source articles copied at once, or should there be a separate instance for each? (Obviously separate templates would be needed on each source’s Talk page regardless.)—Odysseus1479 23:10, 1 November 2016 (UTC)

ScanIP changes

Dear Diannaa - you have made changes to the ScanIP page that I would like to clarify - you cite a potential conflict of interest and copyright violation on the material uploaded. However, I am an employee working for the company that owns the copyright, and was updating our current list of features for the product - although I understand from your comments that the conflict of interest would need to be stated, the information presented is technical data (an update to software features) and not intended as an opinion or endorsement of our product. Is it better then to update this information through proposed changes? Also, the potential copyright violation you cite appears to contradict the conflict of interest, as the changes were made by the copyright holder. You cannot post copyright material on Wikipedia even if you are the copyright holder, unless special licensing permissions are in place. That is because Wikipedia aims to be freely distributable and copyable by anyone, and all content must have the appropriate documentation in place before that can happen. Another problem is conflict of interest. Writing an article about your own organisation or that of a client is strongly discouraged, as it is difficult to maintain the required neutral point of view. Minutes ago, I discovered a section called "‎Release history" in the Adobe Premiere Pro to be brimming with content copied and pasted from their corresponding sources and removed them. But I am not sure which of the past revisions should be marked for suppression. Can you please advise?

Content Creation

Hi Diannaa. I have this article: Prof. Dr Johannes Benzing. I seem to have very little content on him, even though he is supposed to be brilliant. He lived in a period of time and a work function of a particular type which was both secret and obscure. I found this: [[2]], by chance, on Glottopedia, which is the encyclopedia for linguists. I've noticed they use the licence the article as follows: Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 . Am I able to use some of the text, without running into any license problemo. There's no problem importing that content as long as you provide proper attribution. You can see an example of how to do it at citation #1 in Interception of Communications Commissioner. Mitchell, which was published in the Journal for the Study of the Pseudepigrapha March 2009 vol. 18 no. 3 181–2. Hi. I just wanted to ask for your help. There's an article on Wikipedia about a TV series but a user has created a separate article for its upcoming season which honestly isn't that much important to have a separate page and actually consists of only three lines and the information on it is wrong and unsourced. Help with deletion log

I had some material deleted from an article due to copyright violations. Sorry for that. I'm having problems getting the deletions to come up on the deletion log. I'm putting in the following information.

• "deletion log"
• Performer - Diannaa
• Target title - Shooting of James Boyd
• From year - 2016
• From month - November
• Tag filter (left blank)
• Type of deletion - all

When this is entered, I get this result. "13:24, November 3, 2016 Diannaa (talk | contribs) changed visibility of 7 revisions on page Shooting of James Boyd: content hidden (RD1: Copyright violations)"

How can I make the deletions visible so I can make the appropriate revisions?

There are in fact two anonymous IPs engaged in edit war on these two pages (1 and 2). In particular, one of them tries to remove the reliably sourced info the first one has posted on the basis of his/her own personal POV, without the consent of other users. It's always the same guy, even if it has different IPs (I also tried several times to tell him/her it'd be time to create a single account, to no avail). Contesting Deletion of Security_BSides

Good Morning Dianna,

Apologies for the lack of citations and the accidental copyright violations on Security_BSides; I've already contested the page once and provided justification but I will continue to add to the page over the weekend to bring it on par with the Black_Hat_Briefings and DEF CON security conferences which both are slowly getting better with original content. I'm still reading through all the rules and guidelines out there so apologies for the mixup. It is not my intention to abandon these pages but to continue to improve them and provide visibility into the ever growing security field. This is one of the largest community supported conferences that have popped up all over the world. I'll go back and at the very least

• Add references to each page
• Rewrite the content that is already there
• Link each BSides conference to their official page
• Add a section on significance and impact to the community
• Add a section on history and culture
• Link other applicable security related links and tags

Copying within Wikipedia requires proper attribution

I did report on copying from the Senescence page Talk:Cellular senescence, but perhaps you would prefer another form of attribution, which would be more "proper". The Cellular senescence page contains a mixture of copied material, plus material added by me, so it would be misleading to say that all of the material was copied. I have the article on my watchlist and noticed the IP's edits, but couldn't figure out for sure if they were a copyvio. So, I asked about them at User talk:C.Fred#Father Saturnino Urios University, but JJMC89 was able to find the exact site where the content came from first. It seems there are a number of editors watching the article based upon how quickly this was dealt with. Maybe that will help discourage future similar edits. For reference, the socking related to this and other similar articles was not just on Wikipedia, but it was also happening at Commons regarding image licensing, etc. Most of the known registered socks have already been indef'd on both sites, which might mean more edits to the article from IPs in the future. -- Marchjuly (talk) 00:05, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Contesting a "speedy deletion" ??

Under current copyright law, literary works are subject to copyright whether they are tagged as such or not. This includes press releases, stuff on Facebook and LinkedIn, and stuff on YourTube. No registration is required, and no copyright notice is required. So please always assume that all material you find online is copyright. Exceptions include works of the US Government and material specifically released under license. Even then, proper attribution is required. Sardinian people page

Hello again, Diannaa. There is a long-lasting conflict between me and some other users on one side, and a guy operating under several IPs on the other one, as you can see on the proper talk page and the history section. I'm sightly confused: were it something involving only me and him/her (that is, only two parties disagreeing on something), I would have asked for a third opinion without esitation, but other people have intervened over the (long) time we've spent on the "controversial" point, all supporting my view (basically, it's about simply changing part of the introduction with "Sardinians are a native and indigenous ethnic group"). The guy is also an edit-warrior who refuses to listen to other people's opinions, belittling them and the sources to be "nationalist", and it's not the first time that the page has been protected to avoid disruptive editing. This thing is, I don't know what to do anymore. It's not that I've run out of arguments, quite the contrary, but I've got the impression that the anonymous guy won't listen to me anyway, just keeping on with his reverting attitude through several IPs with the intention of wearing the others out in the process. What I always do when faced with an intractable content dispute is start an RFC to draw more editors to the page. See Wikipedia:Requests for comment. Query, I can't move pages via menu?

Hi Diannaa,
You reviewed a redirect I created via a page move to D.B.S. Post Graduate College ,Kanpur. This prompted me to look at that pages' original creators' edits,and found a new page Integrative Oncology Center,Noida that I thought should be moved back to its earlier title Integrative Oncology Center.

However I then found that "Move page" was not present on the "Page" (or any other) menu. I was able to move the page by reverting the edit.

Rebate plane vs Rabbet plane

I attempted to swap the pages for "Rebate plane" and "Rabbet plane". You corrected this because my method would mess up the page history. (Thank you for that correction). Per your suggestion I tried to move the pages, but I don't have the required privilege to move a page to another existing page.

My reason for trying to make "Rabbet plane" the page with the content and have the "Rebate plane" be redirected to it is that "Rabbet plane" is the more correct term. Please go to wiki page "Rabbet" to confirm that a rabbet is a particular groove cut in wood. A rabbet plane is a tool to make such a groove. Manufacturers of planes (i.e. experts) also refer to it as rabbet plane. The term "rebate plane" is also used by people, particular in England, so it should be mentioned as a synonym in the article.

If you agree that the term "rabbet plane" is more appropriate, please swap the pages.

Thank you for the apology. The edit was reported by a bot as being a copyright violation, as the bot found identical prose elsewhere online, specifically in the webpage http://www.summit.org/about/faculty-bios/Gnew/. The same material appears at two other locations online (here and here), and appears to be a biolerplate bio that Adams provides when he is hired somewhere for a speaking engagement. In addition to the paragraph I sent you by email, there was the unique phraseology "in the wake of the 911 terror attacks", "In addition to lecturing on the First Amendment, Adams is actively involved in legal challenges to campus censorship", and "Adams, then an atheist and a Democrat, was hired by UNC-Wilmington to teach in the criminal justice program."

How to avoid copyright violations: Content has to be written in your own words and not inclusive of the source material at all. It's been suggested that not so much as three words should be together in the same order as the source. One thing I find that works for me is to read over the source material and then pretend I am verbally describing the topic to a friend in my own words. Stuff should also be presented in a different order where possible. Summarize rather than paraphrase. This will typically result in your version being much shorter than the source document. How to deal with a vandal IP

Hi Diannaa, do you remember the thing going on in the Sardinians page? Now that it's been protected for a while (it turned out the IP has been doing all this not on the basis of a content debate, but just for the sake of internet flame), the ever-changing-IP anonymous has started to revert other random things as his target, making gratuitous edits like this and this. I think the vandal is operating on purpose to make me break the three revert rule (which I did, unfortunately). I don't know what you Administrators could do when dealing with such things, maybe you could block the IP but he/she's always changing it to escape any sanction. Anyway, it can be expected that the guy operating like this will get back on the Sardinians page to vandalize it, once the protection expires. So, I've been wondering what it takes for a page to be indefinitely semi-protected for autentified users only, since the IP guy has been acting like that for years. The word "vandal" should probably not be used, as the person thinks he is helping, not harming. This appears to me to be a content dispute, not vandalism, but I don't know enough about the subject matter to say for sure. The reason the user's IP keeps changing is because it's a dynamic IP, which may mean he is editing from a cell phone or other mobile device, and his internet service provider is assigning a new IP each time he uses the device. It is unlikely that he is doing it intentionally to avoid scrutiny. It's difficult to communicate with dynamic IPs since by the time you post a talk page message, their service provider has assigned them a new IP. I suggest you post remarks regarding his edits and why you think they're incorrect on the talk page of the article concerned. I think that she means well, but she's a new editor and probably just is trying to figure things out. She also appears to have a COI per c:Commons:Deletion requests/File:Charles-and-Patricia-w.jpg. Anyway, there may still be copyvio content in some of the previous versions of the article which need to be WP:REVDEL, but not sure if the entire draft needs to be deleted since she seems to be trying to rewrite it in her own words. A new user right for New Page Patrollers

A new user group, New Page Reviewer, has been created in a move to greatly improve the standard of new page patrolling. The user right can be granted by any admin at PERM. It is highly recommended that admins look beyond the simple numerical threshold and satisfy themselves that the candidates have the required skills of communication and an advanced knowledge of notability and deletion. Admins are automatically included in this user right.

It is anticipated that this user right will significantly reduce the work load of admins who patrol the performance of the patrollers. However,due to the complexity of the rollout, some rights may have been accorded that may later need to be withdrawn, so some help will still be needed to some extent when discovering wrongly applied deletion tags or inappropriate pages that escape the attention of less experienced reviewers, and above all, hasty and bitey tagging for maintenance. User warnings are available here but very often a friendly custom message works best.

Copyright infringement in LOEWE (fashion brand) Wikipedia page

I'm new to wikipedia (I made an account last week) and I am a temporary worker at the Loewe marketing department. I have been tasked with updating Loewe's wikipedia page to include more up-to-date information, and because my bosses feel that the english Loewe page is too small.

I have re-worded the wikipedia article that I originally had posted (which was simply copy-pasted from Loewe's official website), and believe that the new one is in-keeping with Wikipedia's code of conduct and official guidelines about copyright infringement. I would, however, like to ask you for your help in formatting the article and adding the new information, just to make sure that I don't commit any new copyright infringements and that the information I upload will not be deleted.

I have several questions:

1. Since photographs that I would like to upload to the page are all offical Loewe photographs, I would like to know how to prove that the pictures have been added with Loewe's consent (it is important since I have been asked to add these pictures specifically)
2. How do I declare a conflict of interest, and how much will that impact what I can upload onto the wiki? (I'm basically just asking for pointers on how to inform of a conflict of interest, and how to make sure that despite the COI most of the content I upload will be valid).
3. How can I have my edits read and approved by a wikipedia editor? should I simply post it and wait, or specifically send it to someone?

1. It's best to upload the photos to the Commons. Since the photos already appear elsewhere online, you need to get an OTRS ticket in place on each image. There's instructions at Commons:OTRS and some example permission emails at commons:Email templates.
2. There's instructions as to how to declare a conflict of interest at Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure#How to disclose.

Your draft was located at Draft:Center for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe and was deleted by a different administrator, User:RHaworth (all I did was delete User:Cdrsee/sandbox/Center for Democracy and Reconciliation in Southeast Europe, which was a redirect to the actual draft). It was deleted as being an advertisement. Looking at the deleted draft, I can see a major problem: a lot of it was copied from the organization's website or other copyright documents such as http://cdrsee.org/pdf/CDRSEE_profile_WEB.pdf. You cannot post copyright material on Wikipedia even if you are the copyright holder, unless special licensing permissions are in place. That is because Wikipedia aims to be freely distributable and copyable by anyone, and all content must have the appropriate documentation in place before that can happen. Please see Wikipedia:donating copyrighted materials which explains how it works. For this reason, it's not going to be possible for us to restore the draft. Another problem is conflict of interest. Writing an article about your own organisation or that of a client is strongly discouraged, as it is difficult to maintain the required neutral point of view. According to our terms of use, paid editors and people editing on behalf of their employer are required to disclose their conflict of interest by posting a notice on their user page or talk page. Copyvio on Filanovsky oil field

Hello, when going through the edits of Kaz wiki (who you have previously warned about copyvios) because of them doing nothing but spamming reflinks to kazworld.info, I found a blatant copyvio on Filanovsky oil field, copied verbatim from http://kazworld.info/?p=58318 . Deletion of Laboratoire d'Laboratoire d'Economie Forestière article

Hello, the article that I created "Laboratoire d'Economie Forestière" has been deleted under terms A7 (No indication of importance) and G12 (Unambiguous copyright infringement). I wanted to context such deletion, but it has been too fast, the article has been already deleted! Any how, I still think that a "This page is a draft, contribute to expand it" notice would have been more appropriate than deletion.

A7 - No indication of importance

The Laboratoire d'Economie Forestière of Nancy is the second in Europe and one of the first in the World in terms of both researchers and publications in the subject of forest economics. It's true, the subject is relatively small, but within the (admittedly) few people into the domain is universally known, and I don't think that a wikipedia should discriminate against "minorities subjects". I did want to put verifiable and exact numbers, but for that I needed to get some documents in the library on Monday. Too late, it did took just a few hours for its deletion! Furthermore, the LAB is a research and educational public institute, and as such it should be exempted from A7 ("with the exception of educational institutions"). Nevertheless, I still want to add numerical information on why it is notable within its topic.

G12 - Unambiguous copyright infringement

While it's true that the source of the text comes from the about us page of the web site of the lab, the text has been formatted to match the wikipedia standard (I got AgroParisTech and INRA istitutions as examples) and the source is in the public domain, so there is no copyright infringements. That's said, again, it was my intention to expand it, but I needed to get some material that I didn't have with me.

So, at the end, can I re-create on Monday the page adding the required information, or would it be cancelled again ? In general, I would suggest to wait a few days for content that is not "unambiguously" spam and that can instead be improved...

Revdel?

Hi Diannaa. Would you mind taking a look at User talk:Cstwct#File:William Tunberg.jpg when you get some time? The file's uploader added some personal contact information about the person in the photograph/copyright holder that may need to be taken out. I'm sure the uploader meant no harm, but even so it might have been a mistake to do so, especially since that's not how OTRS works. Also, I think this editor may have a COI for the Turnberg article she created based upon some of her posts on Wikipedia and Commons. I'm not suggesting the article should deleted for that reason, but only wondering if this should be brought up on her user talk page. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:53, 20 November 2016 (UTC)

Results:

1. I have removed the phone numbers and email address and left an explanation on the user's talk page.
2. Alfred Shaheen was loaded with copyvio, which I have cleaned. User:Cstwct/sandbox/William Tunberg was free of copy vio, but I found and removed some from William Tunberg (artist).
3. I removed a non-free image from User:Cstwct/sandbox/William Tunberg and redirected the page to William Tunberg (artist).
4. Alfred Shaheen and William Tunberg do not seem to be connected in any way. This may be a paid editor. These two articles are pretty much the editor's only contributions so far. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 01:03, 21 November 2016 (UTC)

Thanks for taking a look Diannaa. I only suspect a COI because this author appears to have been in contact with the Tunbergs based upon some posts they've made on Wikipedia and Commons. It seems she's not a "paid" editor, but the wife of William Tunberg and the daughter of Albert Shaheen based upon what she just posted on her user talk, which adds an interesting twist to things because she has referred to the Tunberg's as third person's in a number of her posts. I think that was more of an ill-advised attempt an trying to be neutral than a purposeful attempt at deception. Hi Diannaa. I've been trying to explain the COI templates to Cstwct on my user talk and her user talk to help her better understand why they were added. I think she's now aware that she has a COI and understands what that means when it comes to Wikipedia; however, the COI templates are really bothering her. I think that she feels they are damaging the reputations of the subjects of the articles in some way. I can't really tell someone how they should feel, but I'm running out ways to try and explain WP:LUC and WP:NPOV to her. So, I was wondering if there is anything specific she should do (or not do) which would make it possible to expedite the removal of the COI templates. I advised her that she should discuss these things with you, but she seems reluctant to that. Would you mind posting something on her user talk explaining how these templates end up being typically removed? I was thinking of suggesting that she add Template:UserboxCOI to her userpage, and then asking her to make a request at WP:NPOVN or WP:COIN to to try and get some feedback from other completely uninvolved editors. -- Marchjuly (talk) 22:13, 23 November 2016 (UTC)

Hi Diannnaa, I am trying to restore content I provided for the Adobe Premiere Pro page. I rewrote the text to make it in compliance with wikipedia but it was still deleted. I helped write the original text for Adobe and rewrote the new text for wikipedia. There are only so many ways to write "Improved relinking workflows". I am the Director of Engineering for Premiere Pro and our customers have asked for this material to be present on Wikipedia. How do I proceed? You cannot post copyright material on Wikipedia even if you are the copyright holder, unless special licensing permissions are in place. That is because Wikipedia aims to be freely distributable and copyable by anyone, and all content must have the appropriate documentation in place before that can happen. Regardless of the copyright issue, we're not looking for our software articles to contain exhaustive lists of version release dates and features. Editor continually coping text between articles without attribution

Hi - take a look at User talk:Doug Weller#Could you perhaps have a look at Early Dynastic Period (Mesopotamia)?. Take this edit added Nov 16th. The text comes from History of Sumer[3] and was added 8 years ago. I've warned him, others have, you've warned him several times the last time being a month ago. Indef until we get some sort of commitment to sort out the problems he's created, ie no more edits until those have been sorted? I think more warnings won't help. Removing Truthful, Cited Quotations from AS article

Why? I don't understand why you removed truthful, accurate, cited quotations from the AS article. These quotes were made by museums and professionals in AS's field. I'm shocked that you would whitewash an article and in the process make the article incomplete. Quite frankly, the article does not now properly reflect who AS was. I think the museums, his peers, writers, magazines, and collectors, who have studied AS, can accurately describe who the man was, and those quotes you removed were from the foregoing. I thought we are supposed cite, cite, cite. You also removed "copyrighted" content that belongs to me. I own the AS website. I wrote the text and own the photos. My name is CS, and yes I'm working through COI with Marchjuly. So now that you know you deleted material that I own, I respectfully request that you restore the damage you've done. Stringing together quotations from our sources is not the way we build our articles. It's okay – in fact it's required – that everything you add to this wiki should be backed up by reliable sources, but the articles themselves need to be written pretty much entirely in your own words.

Second, material copied from http://www.alfredshaheen.com/shaheenhistory.htm. In order to protect the rights of copyright holders, we can't take your word for it that you are the person who owns the copyright to that page. We have in place a system where copyright holders can send proof via email to a group of volunteers that they are the copyright holder, and provide the necessary permission for the content to be copied to this site. Sorry, these are legal requirements, so everything has to be done a particular way. Saying "alfredshaheen.com is donating text from its website to Wikipedia" is insufficient permission. What you need to do is select a compatible license from the list here and place it on the web page using the wording (for example) "This web page is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 (Unported) (CC-BY-SA) license and the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL)." Please think carefully before you do this, because it gives anyone and everyone (not just Wikipedia) permission to use the content for any purpose, including commercial purposes. You will also have to remove the copyright marking "© 1998-2015 Camille Shaheen All Rights Reserved" from the pages, particularly the page from which the prose was copied (http://www.alfredshaheen.com/shaheenhistory.htm).

Photos of artwork are problematic. There's two separate copyrights for three-dimensional artwork: one for the photograph, and one for the artwork itself. Commons:Derivative works has more information on this topic. In a nutshell, even if you own the copyright to the photograph, you can't upload a photo of three-dimensional artwork to the Commons unless you also are the copyright holder of the underlying artwork. The copyright holder for the artwork is the artist, William Tunberg. Mr Tunberg needs to think carefully before he does this. Releasing this artwork under license is probably not a good idea, as he might not like some of the uses to which people put these photos, and the licenses are not revocable. If he wishes to proceed, what he needs to do is select a license and send proof of ownership via email using the instructions at WP:Donating copyrighted materials. There's a sample permission email at WP:Consent. For the three-dimensional pieces, we also need the consent of the photographer(s) and a release under a compatible license. These are legal requirements, and there's no shortcuts.

Regarding the quotations, I will not be restoring them. Like I already said, Wikipedia's non-free content policy is quite strict, stricter than other websites, and we do not permit a lot of quotations from non-free sources in our articles. Hi Diannaa, the instruction to put the donation language on the AS website was given to me by editor Ian.Thomson (but not only Ian, another editor as well). This weekend I'll review your instructions and follow them. I'll let you know if I have questions. The article has now been designated a stub page. Let's figure out how to fill it out with historical info and a few photos.

Thank you for giving me the exact language to use on the website. Since using the language will give everyone the right to use anything on the page, what if I prepare a special page just for Wikipedia? I'll only include text and no photos. Up until now I haven't allowed anyone to use the photos without permission, not even the museums, magazines, etc. I can establish a special Wikipedia section on the site that will contain only information that the public can use.

Re the quotes, I'll go in and study that section to understand Wikipedia's policies. There must be some way to incorporate quotations into text, which was wrong.

After I finish with all the above, I'll edit and then let you know so you can go in, check it out, and make any changes you feel are necessary. If you have objections to this, let me know. I'm named as a major contributing editor, and I've read how to handle this. I think I understand the concept now, but not actually how to go about declaring. I've been dialoging with Marchjuly about how to use the COI code on the talk page and delete the COI template on the article's page. Wikipedia's COI page isn't really a step-by-step how to. It's more conceptual in nature, and there isn't a Wikipedia for Dummies on Amazon (yes, I've checked), so I'm at a loss of what to put where and what to say. I just found out today I shouldn't delete anything from the AS talk page so I don't want to take a chance and test something out. Honestly, someone needs to write a Dummies book. Newcomers don't start reading the rules and then edit. They edit, make a mistake, oops, and then read. Unfortunately, some unintentional serious mistakes can be made; things you can't fix. Writing a special Wikipedia page on your website and then expecting us to import it into the article is not any different than if you edited the article directly, so no, that doesn't help. If you wish to add additional information, please find independent sources such as newspaper articles and books. Then go to the article talk page and propose an edit using the template {{request edit}}. The way to keep an eye on various pages of interest is to add them to your watchlist. I don't expect you to import the text verbatim into Wikipedia. I thought I made it clear in my description that the page would contain historical info for Wikipedia and the public to use, which information would not have copyright protection. Isn't that Wikipedia's requirement -- that the info be free? The info and photos on my site aren't free, but this page would be free.

Your editing left the AS article a stub page. I understand some, but not all, of what you did. I'm beginning to get the feel of what is/isn't promotional and that neutrality should be strived for. I agree. However, you deleted a lot of information that came from written material produced by museums and experts, who describe what AS did and who he was. If you can't rely on museums and newspapers, then whom? The article can be much better written and quotes can be judiciously used within the context of the information being conveyed. AS is a historical person in Hawaiian history, and I'm considered an expert on AS history. So I'd like to work directly with an editor (maybe in the sandbox -- not exactly sure what that's for yet -- testing?), where we can pull together an informative, neutral, cited article. If this can be done, how do I engage an editor to work with me on this? As of now, the article is in bad shape.

Finally, re putting request edits on the talk page such as please fix this typo, that reference is inaccurate, and this needs to be linked... That's confusing for both the editor and me. Looks to me like you asked a user to revert an edit on an article, you are not permitted to do that reversion yourself since you already reverted it once. It's not material whether the editor you asked to do the revert is an admin or not. What you did is solicit assistance in an edit war on a page under Arbcom sanctions. That is not okay. Swedish economic copyvios

Diannaa!

I see that you just took care of the copyvios on National wealth fund. This was one of a series of copyvios that has been going on on pages related to economist Dag Detter (there's a couple of editing accounts focusing on this material). I've been doing the sloppy/lazy thing of just deleting the copyvios, without arranging to suppress the revisions, something I always forget how to do. WT Article Revisions

Hi Diannaa, are you my WT editor? I won't edit directly. I'll keep checking back with you about this, though, since this is such an easy fix, I hate to bother you.

The WT article asks for a better citation for KT as the screenplay writer for Ben Hur. Got to http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0052618/?ref_=nv_sr_2. It's an IMDB page for the 1950s Ben Hur movie. Search the page for WT and it'll come up. You have to search because there is so much information on the page, it's easy to miss. For WT's Lassie, can't find it online, so please delete.

Since the article is being reviewed now for deletion, I'd like to help out as much as possible to get you what you need asap. Do you need something for the photos?

A wiki is an online source for people's input, and can't be used as a reference. Got it. But you can use TCM and LA Times if they're online, which I found for Karl Tunberg. There is a ton of online information about him. I'll put this info on the talk page and ask for an edit. I'd like a typo removed right away though. The typo wasn't in the original version -- it was inserted by you. I can also link the Karl Tunberg and WT Wikipedia articles. Is this something I can do or do I have to use a request edit for that. Do you know the turnaround time for a request edit? Re the photos, I've been immersed in text and instructions, which are coming from all angles. I've been responding as fast as I can to problems. When you ask "what am I missing?" It's the fact that few newcomers can keep up with the massive amount of text and instructions that pour in when they make a mistake. I uploaded the photos as the owner and designated them as free content. Now I need to do something about a license. OK. Here is the information about the photos in the Tunberg article: There's two separate copyrights for three-dimensional artwork: one for the photograph, and one for the artwork itself. Commons:Derivative works has more information on this topic. In a nutshell, even if you own the copyright to the photograph, you can't upload a photo of three-dimensional artwork to the Commons unless you also are the copyright holder of the underlying artwork. The copyright holder for the artwork is the artist, William Tunberg. Mr Tunberg needs to think carefully before he does this. Releasing this artwork under license is probably not a good idea, as he might not like some of the uses to which people put these photos, and the licenses are not revocable. If he wishes to proceed, what he needs to do is select a license and send proof of ownership via email using the instructions at WP:Donating copyrighted materials. There's a sample permission email at WP:Consent. For the three-dimensional pieces, we also need the consent of the photographer(s) and a release under a separate compatible license. Let's leave WT's father for now. I didn't quickly find online written material except for IMDB.

Re the cite requested for WT's drawing style (Career, 2nd to last paragraph), rather than go through more magazines looking for cites, let's delete the paragraph entirely and incorporate his drawing into the billboard paragraph. The reason WT won the California Arts Commission Award was because of his drawing. His billboard drawing was of a semi-nude woman on a plain white background (yes, you could do it in those days). Here's suggested language to replace the first sentence in the billboard paragraph:

"Because of WT's well regarded signature style of drawing 3/4 life-sized nudes and portraits on stark white backgrounds, in 1977, WT was the recipient of the California Arts Commission Award, "Eyes and Ears Foundation Grant", to design and produce a giant drawing to be exhibited on a 48-by-16-foot (14.6 m × 4.9 m) billboard...."

The above takes care of all citations needed except for WT's father. I'll work on that and put the request on the talk page.

There's Wikipedia mirrors as well as the actual site. Check your Google results to find out exactly who is hosting the content. Hi Diannaa, Diving_suit#Semi-dry_suits is very similar to a paragraph on the Northern Diver website, but from looking at the history of the Diving suit article, it seems more likely to me that they copied from us without attribution than the other way round, as there are some dubious claims I am trying to source that were in our article from 2004 or earlier. You've used my given name, my father's, his website's, and my husband's given names in your posts on numerous occasions. Would you be so kind as to replace these names with initials CS, AS, AS.com and WT, respectively? It's not my intention to blank or lose the history of our conversations, and I don't want to keep important information from other editors or registered users. I'm truly sorry to keep bringing stuff here, but you were involved in this before. Audi Marissa, deleted by MRG as a copyvio (report here) has been re-created. Question: does this look to you like socking? Discussion here, SPI here. The same editor created Aurel Hermansyah, now at AfD; the other main contributor there is an IP who has substantial intersection with the sockmaster, including at this list where most or all of the IP edits since your protection expired could be the same person. I'd take this straight to SPI except that I don't think that'd get anything done about the IPs. Ping JohninDC who also helped with this before. Tunberg photos

Hi Diannaa. I'm starting a new section because there is so much text in the other section, it's hard to follow. I'm focusing on getting you the forms you need for the WT photos.

1. Re the Zeller photo, we've been advised he had no children. He has a wife, and we're trying to track her down.
2. I understand the concept of two forms to fill out for photos of original artwork. I read https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/Commons:Derivative_works, but it's not specific as to what form to fill out by the original artwork creator (I'm assuming the Declaration of consent is for the derivative, since it's a photo). What form needs to be filled out by the creator of the original artwork?
3. I've read https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Donating_copyrighted_materials. It's confusing. You referred me to Declaration of consent of all enquiries to fill out. I'll use the wizard and choose Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported and GNU Free Documentation License, mainly because I don't know what the other licenses mean, but I think it'll be fine. There is no way to control these photos anyway, as they've been picked up by bots and are all over the internet. Where the form says "CHOOSE ONE: [URLs of the content] OR [attached images/text], [attached images/text]," I'll insert the Wikipedia address. If you'd like me to do something different, let me know.
4. WT and I are co-owners of the WT photos because we took the photos together. Who is the copyright holder? The person who actually pushes the button?
5. I'd like to use a couple of additional photos in the gallery section of the article. I don't want to give the photos to Wikipedia unless I'm assured they'll be used. Are photos allowed to be added as a COI editor without an edit request?

I don't think I can explain it any better than the information already available on this website and at the Commons to you but I will try. The copyright holder of a photograph is the person who actually took the photo. For each photo, the photographer has to choose a license. For the artwork, the copyright holder of the artwork has to choose a license. Both parties need to fill out the declaration of consent. (talk page watcher)@Cstwct: If you've sent in permissions emails to Commons OTRS, you can replace the c:Template:No permission since with c:Template:OTRS pending. All you need to do is go to each file's page and add {{OTRS pending}} in the |permission= parameter of c:Template:Information. What this does is give 30 days for OTRS to verify the email and make sure the licensing the copyright holder has chosen is acceptable for Commons. Whomever sent in the email should receive a reply from OTRS and this reply will contain an OTRS ticket number. Please make note of this number because it will make it easier for OTRS to find your email if there are any problems. If you have any questions about this, please post something at c:Commons:OTRS/Noticeboard. There tends to be a bit of a backlog when it comes to verifying permission emails, so it may take a little time. If 30 days have passed and the licensing for the files still has not been verified, the "OTRS pending" template will automatically revert back to "No permission since". If that happens, please ask for assistance at the OTRS noticeboard. If you plan to upload more files to Commons, please follow the instructions at c:COM:OTRS. If by chance the files are deleted, do not re-upload them; instead, go to the OTRS noticeboard and ask for assistance. Files which are deleted are not gone forever, but rather only hidden from public view. Just let OTRS or the Commons administrator who deleted the files know that you have sent in a permissions email and they will "un-delete" the files for you. You can find out which administrator deleted the file, simply by clicking on the file's link or using c:Special:Log.

Finally, one last thing about image use. I added the "Gallery" to the Turnberg article just to clean up the formatting a bit, but Diannaa is absolutely right about Wikipedia articles and galleries. Galleries tend to lean towards decorative use of images, whereas Wikipedia ideally strives for contextual use of images. The best usage of images is not simply one which shows the image (see WP:NOTGALLERY), but one which contextually ties the image to specific discussion (even better would be sourced discussion of that content) within the article content. It's actually better to place images near where they are being discussed. Articles are not intended to be places for present artist portfolios, so adding too many images might be seen as promotional. Adding/removing images is really no different from adding/removing text in that it's not really considered to be a minor edit. So, I would not advise you do any image editing due to your COI (unless it's just to tweak the formatting, etc.) and use the "request edit" template if you want to add an image to either article. As Diannaa posted, there is no real 100% guarantee when it comes to anything on Wikipedia, even images, so any image added can be removed by another editor. Proper licensing is required, but that in and of itself does not guarantee a particular file should be used. Sometimes, it's better to establish a local consensus on the article's talk page per WP:IUP#Adding images to articles and WP:CAUTIOUS before adding images. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:17, 28 November 2016 (UTC)

Hi Diannaa and Marchjuly. All photos have been deleted. The only one I'll replace is the photo of WT. I wanted to remove the Gallery anyway so this is a blessing in disguise. I was trying to add images in a contextual fashion. I initially tried to place them next to the text. But you're right -- I don't want the article to look like a promotional catalog. I'll go to the OTRS noticeboard and ask to only have WT's photo put back in. I'll also ask for help in placing the OTRS template (I assume it goes on the image page but not sure). (talk page stalker) @Marchjuly: the two easiest criteria for public-domain status in the USA include all works of the federal government (including the military, but not individual states or localities) and everything published before 1923 (anywhere in the world). That makes them legit to post here with a PD tag (of which there are many, for various specific purposes), and likewise for US-origin works on Commons (other countries have different rules, most of which are respected there). There are plenty more criteria that may apply, and it can get pretty complicated, but those two usually require the least research to identify. Beware of public-domain declarations online if the reason isn‘t apparent, because there’s a widespread misconception that it means merely publicly displayed or available: “If they didn’t want people to copy it, they wouldn’t have posted it!”—Odysseus1479 23:14, 30 November 2016 (UTC)

Yes, but only if properly cited: see WP:FREECOPYING and the linked family of attribution templates. OTOH there may be any number of editorial reasons to avoid it in particular cases; for example where the material has fallen out of copyright because of its age, in many subject areas it’s likely to be obsolete in the face of recent research or changing attitudes. Back in January, you RevDeled most of this inglorious WP:PEACOCK-a-rama as copyvio from a Daily Mail article. Apparently a different IP re-added most of the content the next day. I just ran across the article via Recent Changes and it appears to be a hodgepodge of copyvio from sources including [7]. I am not sure how best to handle the problem beyond reverting the article to your clean version from January 22 ([8]). I am willing to take the time to tease out the (relatively) original content from the plagiarized content, but given the RevDel that is going to be necessary, I don't want to create administrative work where it can be avoided, and so, before I plow into the fray, I thought I would ask for advice from an ultimate mop-wielder. Thanks for your assistance on Zaha Hadid. Normally I'm loath to write things such as "the greatest" (it's often purely subjective). I knew of Hadid but had no idea of her standing in architecture, and against my normal judgement I added that line when I saw there were four other sources. The Queen of curve line I also assumed was a general term for her as opposed to something The Guardian thought up. I can see why you cleaned up both of these issues as I should attribute such a quote/opinion directly rather than assume its common knowledge. Deleted Fourth Industrial Revolution page

Thanks for your feedback. The Fourth Industrial Revolution entry was my first attempt to create a Wiki page. I thought I referenced/cited accordingly, but apparently not. How can I rework to get it back up? Did the entire page need to be deleted? Some parts came directly from other Wiki pages so thought that was fine, like the history of previous industrial revolutions. Maybe I shouldn't have been so ambitious and just add a smaller section to the already existing Industry 4.0 page (although it's not exactly the same thing as the Fourth Industrial Revolution - thus the reason I felt a new page was necessary). Block of user Oldyorke

This block you imposed on user Oldyorke is probably not what we should be doing. I agree 100% that this editor has been cut-and-pasting material that violates WP:COPYVIO rather explicitly. In many cases, I've fixed the problems. In many cases, I've notified the editor or used an edit summary indicating the problem. The fundamental issue here is that the editor doesn't understand the policy and doesn't read / respond to messages. Oldyorke has tried to add the required sources, but just doesn't know *HOW* to do so properly, and we have no mechanism to teach this editor.

It's annoying as hell to clean up the messes that have been created, but these are productive edits. Sure, the block meets policy but the effect is to throw out a well-meaning editor who has made a substantial number of useful edits....

... and who has simply evaded the block -- again without understanding or responding to the block -- by going back into business as the cleverly disguised Oldyorkey. Alansohn (talk) 19:07, 4 December 2016 (UTC)

I believe some material re St. Ann's would have come from Lafort's 1914 "The Catholic Church in the United States" and Burtsell's entry in the 1907 "The History of Ulster County, NY", both of which are in the public domain. Hi Diannaa,

I'm messaging about the deletion of a recent page I've created. I'm the PR & Marketing Coordinator at the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America and we were hoping to create a Wikipedia page about our programs and services.

The page I created was given a speedy deletion on the grounds that it was violating copyright infringement laws. However, as a representative of the organization, I do not believe our page was plagiarism. You cannot post copyright material on Wikipedia even if you are the copyright holder, unless special licensing permissions are in place. You would determine it by finding out what country they were in and looking it up in their copyright law. I usually start with commons:Commons:Copyright rules by territory which mostly applies to images but sometimes has useful information about prose as well. In this instance the Commons page provides a link to http://www.wipo.int/wipolex/en/text.jsp?file_id=126023 which gives copyright protection to literary, scientific and artistic works. For the translation, you would have to know who did the translation and in what country they reside to determine whether or not it is copyright and for how long. Thanks for the advice. Just for info, as you will see from the article, the aircraft was approaching Medellin in Colombia, whuch is also where the ATC station was. I'm not sure it's possible to deterine in which country the translator resides. But I'm not sure it makes any difference here that "YouTube is not a reliable source." We can all hear he audio as well as anyone else (unless you think YouTube have in some way degraded it?) The article cited as a source seems to show that Sharma has received some significant coverage in at least one reliable source which might indicate she is notable as a casting director in India. Copyright violations abounding

Hi Diannaa, I came across an editor today who changes IPs like t-shirts, and who has been dropping copyright violations across numerous park and coyote/wolf attack articles--you can follow my edit history of the last 12 hours for some examples. I'm guessing you've been aware of this, and notice that you warned one of the incarnations and rev/deleted an edit last month [10]. This is by way of saying that I've left a number of new rev/delete opportunities today, and to ask that you and talk page stalkers keep an eye open for more. Hi. I recently found these two images of two Turkish actresses which seem to be copyrighted (1 and 2). Both of them seem to be taken during the photo shoots for these ladies' TV series or movies, thus it's very likeky that they're not free for common use. I have been using the Upload Wizard. I always link to where I got the material and the name of the original source. I also verify if the source material is in copyright or not. I did upload one file that I later discovered was still in copyright and deleted it from the page. If I erred in some way, please let me know.

@ThorbyTech: Providing a citation is not the same thing as providing attribution. If you copy the material without changing anything, you need to add attribution as well as a citation. The template {{PD-notice}} does this by adding a statement that says "This article incorporates text from this source, which is in the public domain". I just stumbled across this article and found that user MBMA EBender introduced a significant amount of promotional material back on Halloween. A few days ago, you correctly deleted a number of additions to the article List of fictional dogs, since they were copied from http://www.lingerandlook.com/Names/DogsallList.php. The website now placed a notice at the bottom of the website stating The contents of this page are available under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported license and the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL). This release has also been published on 4 other pages on that website, and I have archived all of them at Talk:List of fictional dogs with the {{Text release}} template (currently collapsed under the heading that reads Text releases → click [show] to view). ticket:2016121710013983 at OTRS is relevant to this.

If you refer back to the last version of the page before I made any edits, the history section borrowed heavily (almost entirely) from the same source I reference. There were no citations or references of any kind. Yet, that version went unchallenged and unchanged for about three (3) months. What makes the paragraph that I added (with citation) more egregious than what had been there before? Copy-edit Help Suggestion

Hi, Diannaa, Can you send me to a tool that can find and mark all of my own copy-paste edits or too close para-phasing of non PD sources of show me how to check multiple source at once. I only got about 20% done checking it one source at a time and then added more stuff that needs to be checked. There is a lot of bad edits over the years before I really knew what I was doing and some more that I knew better but got lazy and forgot to re-word it (perhaps editing all night but do have a memory and typo problem). There's no way that I know of to remove PD sources from the search. Besides, you might consider looking at those articles regardless, to ensure that the template {{PD-notice}} is in place where copying from the source has occurred. After going back and reviewing what the copyvio detector is picking up, I found that the major things its reporting are the organizations that Kiser won awards from. There is nothing we can do to change those names because they are in fact the organizations and awards he has in fact won. So if that be the case it would be a copyvio anyway one would write it. I have rewritten the bio section. After checking it with the copyvio tools it now comes up with a passing grade. I didn't even know we had a tool such as this even with all of my years editing. @Canyouhearmenow: Sorry for the alarming notice. There's still some extremely close paraphrasing, because you are still presenting exactly the same material in exactly the same order. I have done some more edits. Problems: Each of your paragraphs covered the same material as the corresponding paragraph in the source document. It's tricky with a chronology, but possible, to avoid close paraphrasing. For example, the material about Chet Atkins is already mentioned in the Music section, so you can leave that out of the bio section. Leave out some of the other less important details. Your version will almost invariably be shorter than the source text. The awards can go in a separate "Awards" section, and don't list them in exactly the same way or the same order as they are listed at rkisermusic.com. You need a better cite for the Telly Award, because the one you've provided fails verification. Some of the other citations fail verification as well, because they don't mention Kiser (I have marked them). Whenever I am writing an article I usually place the verbiage on the page and then I go back and start putting the various sections together and taking out repetitive verbiage. Wikipedia page not visible on Google search

Hi there. While I was checking so that my effort for the information I have provided and time I have invested on creating pages doesn't goes in vain, I was not able to find them on Google search. For example I created a page xyz and so while typing xyz on Google search bar, I was not able to find the page xyz I created on Wikipedia. But they are visible on other pages to which they are linked. May I know what could be the reason and how other pages of Wikipedia are visible on Google search and not mine? May I also know what changes do I have to make so that my page can be visible after searching just like other Wikipedia pages.

Sometimes it takes a while for new articles to appear in Google search results. This is something Google is doing at their end. Dianna, I am writing to resolve a content dispute. I believe the standard protocol is to "Assume good faith".

However, the content on both the Baseball Warehouse and Wikipedia are from the same author, namely Brian Kowitz. So, how can it be a violation of copyright if the content is 100% factual written by the title of the person? More importantly, this seems like a big waste of time, after I learned all the SYNTAX for Wikipedia and then you came along and deleted everything. Please help me understand HOW to get the biography updated given this new evidence?

Possible copy vio

Hello D and Merry Xmas Eve (my time anyway) When you have a moment could you check on Maia (novel)#Glossary of terms that appear in .22Maia.22. It has been many years since I last read the book but that looks like a direct copy of a glossary that was at either the beginning or the end of it. While you are at it this Beklan Empire probably needs to be checked as well. The editor is obviously a fan of Adams (as am I) so part of me is hoping they are okay but I fear that they may need altering or deleting. I have removed the list material on Maia (novel). I am unable to prove copyvio but regardless of the copyright issue, such lists are not what we are looking for, per WP:NOT. Beklan Empire looks okay, the prose has been sitting there unaltered since 2008 so even if it was copied from somewhere it will be hard to prove now. Hi there. I'm the editor who added Maia (novel)#Glossary of terms that appear in .22Maia.22. I just wanted to let you know that the material I added was not lifted from the book. It contains no such glossary. If it is not appropropriate in the article, then I am sorry to have added it.

Liebenberg and Kaplan

Hi Diannaa. Would you mind checking Liebenberg and Kaplan for copyvios? According to Template:Did you know nominations/Liebenberg and Kaplan, there was a 63.9% match with content from this source. I did discuss the copying and pasting of content with the article's creator at User talk:KIRTIS#Copy and pasting, but was assured that it was only her own work from word files. It's quite possible the the original source material was copied into a word file, edited a bit and then copied once again into the article, but cannot be sure of that. I would like to let you know that I know the Wikipedia policies governing images by heart. It would help if you actually cited the part of the policy that you think I am violating ... so that I can prove that you are wrong.

Wikipedia:Non-free content criteria policy 3B: Minimal extent of use. An entire work is not used if a portion will suffice. Low- rather than high-resolution/fidelity/bit rate is used (especially where the original could be used for deliberate copyright infringement). This rule also applies to the copy in the File: namespace. As for NFCC§3B, 1920×1080 is high, 800×429 is low.

As for WP:IMAGERES, it is not a policy; it is a guideline, i.e. "it is best treated with common sense, and occasional exceptions may apply". What is more important than having about 100,000 pixels is that the image must show what its FUR claims it is showing.

Hemispherical combustion chamber copyright problem

I believe there had been a serious error in removing my contribution to Hemispherical Combustion Chamber (see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Bd64kcmo#Hemispherical_combustion_chamber_copyright_problem) . As a result my contribution was stripped down to the point that it renders nothing about the history of the engine. Yes, the referenced work by Barney Gaylord is copyrighted, but if one looks deeper into his website, it will be seen that Barney elaborates: "Permission is granted to not for profit entities (primarily intended to reference vintage car clubs and vintage automobile hobby enthusiasts) to reproduce any information in this web site, either in electronic form or in printed newsletters, subject to the conditions that credit to the source is noted, and that this information shall not be sold or redistributed for profit."

I have been in communication with Barney and other MGA Twin Cam enthusiasts for permission to use additional images, as well as the ones I previously displayed. I have permission to show all of them, but I need to know what proof Wikipedia needs. For email, Barney can be reached at (Redacted), if you need to directly communicate with him. Meanwhile, I will send whatever is needed here. Please review his web page for copyright exceptions, and let me know. I will refrain from reverts until I hear from you within a reasonable time, say, 7 January?

Go to WP:SPI and read the instructions as to what sort of evidence is required. Behavioural evidence such as editing the same articles (with diffs); similarities in speech patterns, particular spelling errors, similar time-of day editing patterns, similarity of username, etc. You must have a clear idea as to who the master is; no fishing expeditions. Proper arrangement of table in M. S. Narayana filmography article.

Hi there. I'm facing problems while adding information to the particular article I've mentioned above. I did so because there were a lot more movies that were missing in his filmography so I added. I have added as much as I knew. Can you please arrange them as the table is getting irregular in 2003, 2004, 2006 and now 2015 after I tried to re-arrange it.

Horatio Nelson List of Freemasons Copyright Problem.

Hello and thanks for your interest in the list. First of all, if you look at the bottom of the page you linked to, http://freemasonry.bcy.ca/biography/nelson_h/nelson_h.html, you will see they, the GL of BC&Y, copied the text from Denslow. Secondly, Lord Nelson's Masonic affiliation is confusing, but he is an important historical figure so I decided to use the full Denslow text which I'm sure as meticulously researched seventy years ago. I've met you half way and put the quoted text in a quote box, which wrecks the visual flow of the list (and some people will object to it), but as I said since it's Lord Nelson I think it's appropriate.

I would also point-out that I have added about 900 names to the list in question spending countless hours doing it. I also defined the List of Freemasons:Manual_of_Style.

Hello, I noticed that nominated my page International Collection of Microorganisms from Plants (ICMP) for speedy deletion, I understand the reasons for doing so. I have rectified the copyright issue by adding a copyleft statement to the page here: http://www.landcareresearch.co.nz/resources/collections/icmp/history Regarding notability the collection is just as notable as any in this category: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Culture_collections perhaps more so as it is the largest one in the Southern Hemisphere, I will make this clearer in a re-edit of the text.
