Image taggings

edit

Please provide proof of where the image came from originally if you tag for speedy deletion on G11 grounds. I will remove all tags you posted that don't. If you restore them, you will be blocked for disruptive editing by an apparent single-purpose account. Daniel Case (talk) 21:28, 18 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

OK. Thanks for responding. This user, as demonstrated here, is trying to get a grasp on our image policy. I see her as acting in good faith. Some people — most, in fact — really have no understanding of how copyright law works, and our current policy requires a very good understanding of it. It seems to me that some of her images are quite likely self-created, and with correct licensing (which I've offered to help her with) could be kept and used. We should delete the ones that are clearly bad, and assume good faith on the ones we're not sure about, rather than delete them all. Daniel Case (talk) 03:11, 19 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
If you know how it should be licensed, and it either meets the fair use criteria or can be edited to do so, change the license yourself. If you suspect of being copyvio for some reason (really high-quality image from creator not known for them otherwise), list at WP:PUI. Daniel Case (talk) 12:30, 20 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

I looked into it and couldn't quite figure out what the problem was. You've been upfront with me; he seems to have some long-ago issue with you that I didn't have time to try to understand. Daniel Case (talk) 23:08, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Dodge Ram Van

Hello, but the Dodge Ram Van started in 1979, not 1971, the Dodge Ram Van was known as "Dodge Tradesman" from 1971-1977. 75.119.23.180 (talk) 23:30, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
