Getting rid of pop books

edit

I'd like, as a long term goal, to get rid of all non-scientific (i.e., non primary literature) sources in this article. The info is out there, and secondary sources are always at a high risk of being out of date.

For now I'll keep a lot of Glut etc. stuff in, but whenever someone has time left it would be nice to find the real sources and cite those! HMallison (talk) 13:04, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

I think we should try to restrict any popular books to stuff that's very recent, or continually updated with supplements (like Holtz's encyclopedia). Even Dinosauria II is very far out of date by this point, and sources like that shouldn't trump more recent papers obviously. MMartyniuk (talk) 13:47, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
That's agreed then.... currently, I'm busy striking anything that sounds like nonsense to me, even if I do not have contradicting newer sources handy right now. See this as a To-Do list. HMallison (talk) 13:55, 14 June 2011 (UTC)Reply

Strikeout crusade

edit

I'm on a crusade to strike all parts that are out of date, massively incomplete or downright wrong. I'll add comments in italics directly after them werhe appropriate. Don#t bother to edit these sections right now, they need total rewriting anyways. HMallison (talk) 19:16, 25 June 2011 (UTC)Reply
