Please do not add copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder, as you did to Rajeev Chandrasekhar. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thanks for uploading File:RC picture.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, we also need to know the terms of the license that the copyright holder has published the file under, usually done by adding a licensing tag. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Thanks for uploading File:RI logo reverse small.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

Thanks for uploading File:Rajeev Chandrasekhar MP.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

Rajeev Chandrasekhar

I don't have the energy to clean Rajeev Chandrasekhar at the moment, but please be aware that your recent edits are too promotional and will not stand. For example, "As one of India’s leading politicians, he has strongly advocated for..." is what would be expected on someone's website, and in fact it is here, so it is promotional and plagiarism, and probably a copyright violation. There are a lot of politicians in India, and there would need to be a very good reason to describe one of them as "leading". What does "A strong votary of good governance" mean? At any rate, that text is unsourced and too promotional, and is again copied from here (and I have seen it elsewhere). Text like "Rajeev’s PIL challenging the IT Rules has been filed..." must have reliable sources. I noticed that the article was being attacked with negative opinions a month ago and started to collect some sources hoping to rewrite the text. However, I've been busy with other things and haven't done anything yet. There appears to be plenty of reasonable information to write a neutral biography, and that is what needs to occur. • Template:BLP noticeboard/doc is a documentation page—you added {{Edit protected}} to that page by mistake and I have removed it. You added the same text to Talk:Rajeev Chandrasekhar and another editor has removed that because an edit request has to be accompanied with an explanation of what is wanted.
