Speedy deletion nomination of Onondaga Ogres Football

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Onondaga Ogres Football requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Article userfied

edit

I have "userfied" the article for you - moved it to a user sub-page - at User:Djdemperio/Onondaga Ogres Football. You can work on it there. The references you gave on my talk page are better than nothing, but I'm not convinced they are enough to establish notability, see also WP:CORP and WP:42. Entries in lists serve to verify that the team exists, but they don't count for notability, and local sources don't count for as much as national ones.

Read WP:Your first article; there is also a link to useful advice from the box at the top of the draft page, and a link "Submit" to click when you are done, which will send it to WP:Articles for creation, where either it will be accepted or you will be given feedback. Non-free files in your user space

edit

Hey there Djdemperio, thank you for your contributions! I am a bot, alerting you that non-free files are not allowed in user or talk space. I removed some files I found on User:Djdemperio/Onondaga Ogres Football.

  • See a log of files removed today here.
  • Shut off the bot here.
  • Report errors here.
  • If you have any questions, place a {{helpme}} template, along with your question, beneath this message.

Thank you, -- DASHBot (talk) 05:02, 22 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Don't worry about the above - image copyright rules are ferociously complicated, a non-free image must meet all ten of the conditions at WP:NFCC#Policy, #7 of which is that it must be used in at least one article, and that is enforced by a "bot", an automatic system. If your article is restored, the image can also be restored. JohnCD (talk) 15:34, 23 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Your draft article, User:Djdemperio/Onondaga Ogres Football

edit

Hello, Djdemperio. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Onondaga Ogres Football".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! UnitedStatesian (talk) 14:35, 8 May 2020 (UTC)Reply
