Sourcing
editHi. Several times you have changed information in the article Nokhur in a way that contradicts the source. All information on Wikipedia must be verified by reliable sourcing. If you wish to add or alter information, please be sure that you also provide sourcing. Thanks. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:33, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
- Hi. I'm sorry, but that's not the way it works. Contributors on Wikipedia do not own the articles to which they contribute and hence are not entitled to receive notice before others make changes. The information on the location of Nokhur is drawn from the linked reference book, here. Our verifiability policy requires that material be properly sourced. We can't rely on original research. Your link to a Wikipedia article does not serve. I will seek additional feedback here, but I should warn you that if another editor restores the earlier version, you should not change that without discussing the matter first and reaching consensus on the talk page. Wikipedia's policies forbid edit warring, or arguing content on the article page, which may result in your being blocked from contributing. Meanwhile, if you have a source to verify that Nokhur is not located where that book indicates it is, please feel free to add that. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 17:06, 24 September 2008 (UTC)
