Welcome!
editWelcome to Wikipedia, Djpinklady! I am Pharaoh of the Wizards and have been editing Wikipedia for quite some time. I just wanted to say hi and welcome you to Wikipedia! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page or by typing {{helpme}} at the bottom of this page. I love to help new users, so don't be afraid to leave a message! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Here are some pages that you might find helpful:
- Introduction
- The five pillars of Wikipedia
- How to edit a page
- Help pages
- How to write a great article
- Manual of Style
I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Oh yeah, I almost forgot, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Again, welcome! I like the depth and granularity of your contributions. Are you some sort of academic? Techbod (talk) 02:38, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
keep it going now. Djpinklady (talk) 23:33, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
oh. how exciting! i'm talking! Djpinklady (talk) 23:34, 3 November 2008 (UTC)
Hi there, Djpinklady! I'm glad you followed up your contribution with an account. You certainly got noticed by an editor, so I suggest you ask for feedback on your first entry. Don't be surprised if it's marked for deletion... you have to appeal these things to the right people. I'm not an editor, but I did learn a little about the process. Good luck! Reechard (talk) 22:18, 9 November 2008 (UTC)
asking for feedback. i'm not really sure how that works. Djpinklady (talk) 22:21, 11 November 2008 (UTC)
- Hi again Reechard here. You should look at articles that have a lot of activity, or are controversial. Look closely at the Page History. See the bots, and then see the editors, and look at changes that have been rejected. Say hi to the Pharaoh and ask for help, if you have questions you can't figure out. You should comply with the bot request below, apparently you haven't followed rules regarding copyright. There are a lot of rules to follow! But, you've passed a major hurdle, establishing a talk page and having contributions "stick." Congrats! Reechard (talk) 00:42, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
- Fixed up my talk page a little, why don't you talk a look? :-) Reechard (talk) 02:06, 2 December 2008 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:44blue-logo.jpg
editThanks for uploading Image:44blue-logo.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.
Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 19:40, 18 November 2008 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for October 29
editHi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Christine and the Queens, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Christophe. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 09:51, 29 October 2015 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free image File:44blue-logo.jpg
editThanks for uploading File:44blue-logo.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:24, 26 February 2021 (UTC)
The article Daisy Whitney has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
fails WP:GNG, as it has for 14 years
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ~TPW 17:28, 11 July 2022 (UTC)

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article until the discussion has finished.
