Your edits were reverted
editThank you for your interests in improving wikipedia. Unfortunately I had to revert your contributions in articles Holoverse and Holodeck for two major reasons. First, a technical one: in Wikipedia every article is about a single subject. If two subjects are names with the same terms, we have to have two different articles, under different titles, see Wikipedia:Disambiguation for technical detail.
The second one is more serious: all information in wikipedia bust be based on reliable sources and these sources must be cited, see WP:CITE. Unreferenced information may be deleted at any time. In addition, article subjects must be notable, see Wikipedia:Notability for general rule and there are separate rules for businesses, products, people, etc. Staszek Lem (talk) 22:51, 21 June 2018 (UTC)

Request reason:
Hi Orangemike, Following your suggestions, I have read through the proper policy regarding disambiguation page and advertising prohibitions. Our consortium at MIT formed in the late 1960s and although we were the first small group of freshman (30) who did not have to program with IBM punch cards (we had an interactive teletype with punchtape storage) our interest in stereoscopy and holography was piqued by Edwin Land (Polariod) and his employee Stephen Benton (inventor: rainbow hologram). By the early 1980s, I was part of the Harriet Casdin-Silver holographic art collective. My personal scientific publications related to advanced imaging begin in the mid-1970s, and the term "Holoverse" as a philosophical construct in the mid-1990s. Our Holoverse technology was presented at SIGGRAPH in the 1990s. My Edits were meant to be informative, and following your comments, I have re-read the full guidelines. Most importantly, I now understand how to add a disambiguation page when there exist multiple topics.
It is my belief that the Wiki community will benefit from the many scientific and philosophical contributions of the Holoverse Consortium. I would appreciate your 'unblocking" of my account, and the opportunity to present a new article and disambiguation page on the subject.
Thanks, Dennis Djsmisc (talk) 15:03, 13 May 2019 (UTC)
Decline reason:
You were blocked for spam/advertising, not because a disambiguation page wasn't properly constructed. This unblock request suggests you have a conflict of interest and intend to return to those activities. Read over Wikipedia:Guide to appealing blocks; you will need to answer the concerns from your block directly. ~ Amory (u • t • c) 15:52, 15 May 2019 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
Hi Amorymeltzer, Thanks for advise on the WP:COI policy. Yes, I do have a COI related to Holoverse, but I believe that am able to a write an informative, unbiased, historical and acceptable Holoverse addition which follows its historical evolution from MIT Profs Louis Smullin's "bounce off the moon', Edwin Land and Stephen Benton technical contributions and Casdin-Silver's artistic ones to its SIGGRAPH presentation integrating the technologies used for Stephen Hawking's eye-scan typewriter. All of the MIT related histories are well-documented. I believe from the guidelines that the mention that the term Holoverse is trademarked in the US which readily verifiable, together with the statement of COI, falls within the acceptable range of references to commercial entities. If not, I would appreciate direction to an acceptable form. Djsmisc (talk) 22:07, 17 May 2019 (UTC)
